Gale informed her to get some rest and that he'd be training Emmet in the courtyard, his time he'd be back, before slipping outside. |

He went to the courtyard, training the boy on how to fight. |

Kayla slept, someone slipping into her room. The figure looked at the sleeping queen, then to the dagger on the desk until finally the bathroom. The floor creaked slightly as the figure stalked toward the queen, grabbing the dagger. Blade at Kayla's throat, the figure whisper/barked a sharp order. "Up. Now. To the bathroom". Kayla jolted awake, fearful as she couldn't make out the figure's face or even if it was a man or woman. The figure shoved Kayla into the bathroom as she pounded upon the door, yelling for help already. The figure quickly ransacked the place, tossing clothes out of the closet and dumping out dresser drawers, obviously looking for something. "Where is it?!" The figure exclaimed, darting out of the room as Kayla continued to yell |

Gale heard shouting, but figured it was just two guards who argued about respect every single day, continuing on training. |

The figure moved to the throne room, looking in there too. A maid heard Kayla's shouts and ran to her, unlocking the door. "Send him to me" Kayla said, breathless as the maid realized who she meant. The maid hurried out to Gale, calling to him. "Sir! The queen requests your presence in her room. The room's a mess, sir" |

"Sure, Emmet, do take a break while I attend to this." He called to the boy, Emmet nodding as Gale walked off, casually strolling into the room. |

Kayla was frantically cleaning up, flashbacks hitting her like a train with images of her brothers and father screaming at her to clean up the mess. She had tear stains on her cheeks as she quickly began apologizing to Gale for the mess. "I don't know what happened, they came in here and there was a knife and then they ordered me to go into the bathroom and-and they locked me in there. I was trapped and when a maid let me out,the room was like this, I'm sorry. I'm cleaning it right now, I swear" She hurried out, new tears now rolling as she panicked |

"They had a---they had a knife?!" Gale started, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back to him when she tried to run off. "Woah woah, Kay slow down. Breathe for a second, calm down. They came in here with a knife, and locked you in the bathroom. You were trapped and then a maid let you out and the room was like this, but most importantly are you okay?" He asked, placing both hands on her shoulders and having her look at him. |
