Iris passed a group of girls whispering and giggling on her way back to her dorm. She paid them no mind until she had just passed them, which was when she heard one say, "Guys, guess what I heard about little miss A++?!" Iris stopped. She'd heard that nickname used for her before, but it was always in a fun, playful way. These girls were gossip girls, so nothing they said was fun or playful. The other girls quieted and looked expectantly to the one who'd first spoken. "What did you hear?" She raised her eyebrows and glanced around confidentially. "I heard that A++ and Russia..." She gave a dramatic pause. "Are a THING."

Caden was a across the courtyard, seeing Iris and starting to walk towards her, continuing on and overhearing the girls. He smirked, walking past them and towards Iris. "You heard the right thing then," The man mused, glancing back at them.

The girls, seeing Caden and hearing his words exchanged glances, then moved away from the people they had just been gossiping about. Iris gave Caden a smile, but it was tinted with worry. How did people already know? Not like she cared. She just didn't want anything weird happening. "Hi, Caden. I haven't seen you for a while. How're you doing?" She asked, focusing back on him. She'd missed the lopsided grin of his.

"Good, just got out of the last final of the semester so, glad for that to be done. And I was wondering if you're free tomorrow? I leave for Pheonix in the evening, want to spend time with you while I can." He mused with a grin, pecking her head.

Iris smiled back, and checked her calendar. "The biggest gap I have is an hour in between a study group and class. That's in the morning from 10:00 to 11:00. Does that work?" She looked up at him and couldn't help smiling at his face. She didn't care what the gossip girls knew. Caden wanted to spend time with her, and that was the best thing she could imagine.

Caden checked his schedule, nodding with that lopsided grin of his. "Sure does, where do you want to meet at?" He asked, putting his phone away as he gazed down at her gorgeous face, his gaze locked on hers.

His gaze was so penetrating that she had to look away to keep her sanity. "Um..." She blinked hard and continued, now recovered. "I was thinking maybe we could walk around downtown?" She didn't look up at him again but slightly to his right, so as not to lose herself. Why, why was she so pathetic around him?

He nodded. "Sounds good, I checked the weather and it's supposed to be really nice for the first time in a while tomorrow. Think spring weather, not freeze to death weather." Caden chuckled, noting her pulling her gaze away from him.

Had he really set aside time to check the weather in case they could go out? "Oh, good. The snow is nice, but I need a warm break every so often." Iris looked at him again at his chuckle, smirking. "And why are you lauging, sir?"

|
He grinned, catching her gaze once more as he noticed her smirk, leaning a smidge closer. "What? Could you not look at me any longer?" Caden asked smoothly, teasing.
