Nate smiled and kissed her goodbye. "I love you too, darling," he murmured to her. Once she was gone, he ate breakfast and got to work feeding and watering his horses before heading off to his first class at college. |

Dakota mucked out Secret's stall before going inside and grabbing a couple extra sets of clothes. She sighed, knowing Nate wouldn't be back for a while and decided to ride Secret in the outdoor arena a bit, just to get the kinks out of the mare's legs. Dakota nearly had to dodge a flying hoof as she mindlessly curried a ticklish spot. "Sorry, girl" She said softly to the horse. She finished grooming and tacking up before hopping on and jogging Secret around the edge of the arena. She practiced her tight-turn routine before untacking and grooming Secret out once more. She already missed Nate, and was hopeful to see him soon as she had been at her house for nearly 4 hours |

Nate sat through his classes, constantly checking his phone to see if Dakota texted him. So far, nothing. He was now sitting in his last class of the day, waiting as the seconds ticked by getting closer to when he would be able to leave. |

Dakota quickly texted Nate something simple. I love you . She hoped it would at least tell him she was alive and alright. She turned Secret out before hopping into her truck and driving back to his house. She walked into the unlocked door before going and laying on his bed. She scrolled through Tiktoks and waited |

Nate smiled at her text. -I love you too- he sent back. Soon enough class was over and he drove home. He found Dakota laying on his bed and smiled. Without saying a word, he walked over and crawled on top of her, laying on her. |
