Tyler tipped his head. Now that did make him smile... Regan was paying enough attention to realize he was getting slightly uncomfortable. Tyler nudged her back. "It's fine... I'm happy you noticed." He said quietly, continuing to watch the amazing sky

Regan nodded to him and gently laid herself back on a more upright branch. It was so pretty out here... she'd almost forgotten. She'd been so used to death and blood and... well, everything awful. She'd forgotten how wonderful the world could be. How pretty things could be. She watched as the sun slowly dipped down, lowering its bright oranges and pinks with it. She closed her eyes after a few moments, wanting to remember this the best she could. She might not get to see something so gorgeous for a while... so she had to picture it in her head.

Tyler just sat there as the sun sank below the horizon. It got dark out very slowly. Tyler glanced at Regan... she was probably just trying to keep the image in her mind. "It's that pretty every single night... if weather permits, would you want to come up here next night?" Tyler asked quietly, glancing down at the ground

Regan opened her eyes after a moment and glanced over at Tyler with a smile. She loved it up here, she really did. When he asked if she wanted to come up the next day, she seemed to light up. "Oh, Tyler, I'd love to!" She chirped happily to the boy. She would love this, too. She'd forgotten how pretty the sky was. She'd been so used to blood... seeing reds and pinks and oranges in a setting where they didn't mean danger... that was wonderful.

Tyler chuckled. "Then it's a plan." He smiled, starting to stand and stretch, then going down. He stopped where his Pack hung on a branch, making himself comfortable before glancing back up at Regan.

Regan could only grin at him after a few moments, looking more than happy to be up here... this was kind of his spot, so she couldn't help but feel... well, a bit lucky that he'd let her come up. The sun had pretty much set now, so followed him down happily. "Thank you again... It's gorgeous up here," she then added as she got ready to jump from the branch.

"It was my pleasure... and it really is. That's part of the reasons why I like staying in a tree." Tyler smiled, feeling.. happy. No one was taunting them or making fun of them, Regan and him were together, and they were in a tree... just watching the sunset. What more could Tyler really ask? He settled down into his spot with a sigh, the cool night breeze blowing around them.

Regan smiled to him when he said why he liked it here... it made a lot of sense. It was calm, safe, and so, so gorgeous. "That makes a lot a lot of sense. It suits you," she told him gently before reaching over to ruffle up his hair playfully. "I'm exhausted. I'll see you tomorrow," she chirped happily. "Night monkey," she teased before lowering from the branch and jumping down, then padded towards the cabin with a bit of a skip in her step. She got comfortable in bed, a small smile still on her face.

Tyler smiled. "Goodnight other monkey." He snorted, watching her disappear. Tyler immediately ran a hand through his hair, smoothing it back out. He settled down on the tree, covering his face with the cowboy hat. Tyler soon fell asleep, a small smile on his face for the first time in forever.

Regan could only grin at his comment... they'd had a nice evening, despite his father being... not so fatherly. She fell asleep quite quickly, just seeming pretty happy. She was a happy person, normally anyway. This whole... pandemic seemed to change people, but she was showing glimpses of how she'd been before... like a happy kid. Bouncy and... well, alive.
