"That was for my own safety, besides, you can see him through the windows and door."
She mused, offering a smile as she went to gesture to him waiting outside, to which he was gone.

Gale hummed a tune as he waited, not really minding as it felt peaceful to be away from the castle and away from Kayla and everybody else, finally alone for once in somewhere he could let go of all the duties and such he had had to start attending to ever since moving back. Gods he wished she'd never come back, and that the two were still trekking around, not caring about anything besides eachother. And yes he wanted a kid but. . . he didn't at the same time. How does one become a father figure to his own when he doesn't even know what that means? How does one keep his pawn whenever she's the queen of an entire kingdom, he loves her, and she could kill him easily? Difficult, very difficult.
"Feast your ears on this!"
Gale flicked his gaze over to the sound, lowering his cloak a smidge to hear better.
"Gale Hummendeaus found dead! That's right ladies and gents, our legend, our myth, our warning we give to others, found dead. No more worrying for anyone at last! Finally our kingdom can strive in freedom and trust, fear has finally been dealt with!"
The boy shouted, standing on a overturned crate as he shouted the lies.
-I'm dead? Great, means I can finally live in peace for once.-
Gale thought with a chuckle, the sound loud in the silence as a few pairs of eyes flicked to him before back at eachother. He noted their appereances, hoods, long knives along their belts, all wielding either crossbows, bows, or swords. The men all walked away from the crowd, a certain settlement of unease washing over the man, tugging his cloak hood down over his face, covering down to the top of his nose, casting his eyes and reckognizable facial features in shadow. He ducked his head, keeping silent as the boy began boasting once more about his supposed 'death'. The man looked around, noting the armed men he saw earlier were now closer to him, all gravitating towards the back of the crowd. He frowned sligthly, looking back up a moment later and seeing their eyes locked on him, all pushing through the crowd straight towards him. One occupation flashed through his mind:
-Bounty hunters-
His eyes widened, skin paling slightly as he realized he was completely outnumbered and had no means of escape. Gale turned and burst through the shop door, shutting it behind him before holding it shut as numerous knocks came onto it. He flicked his gaze back to Kayla, expression the same as somebody kicked the door.
"We gotta go. We gotta go right now."
He said hurriedly, the hunters kicking the door down and sending Gale stumbling forward. He grabbed a sword off the wall, manuvering it to make getting through the doorway nearly impossible unless you were the size of a child and could fit through the small gap left. The man turned back to Kayla, expression set different now.
"Let's goooo, can't be standing around with twenty of these guys on my tail."
He mused with a smile, hopping out one of the windows.
"Sorry for using your window but uh, if you can't tell, door's occupied."
He said with a chuckle, yanking Kayla out the window with him as the bounty hunters kicked the sword out, barging through.
