"You okay? Got kinda quiet all of a sudden," Caden says, glancing over at her before focusing his gaze back to pulling into the gate.
| |

"I'm fine." She lied, barely keeping her voice steady as the guilt overtook her mind and all her thoughts
| |

"Whatever you say, but don't bottle yourself up too much. It gets ugly in the end," He said quietly, parking before getting out and heading inside.
| |

"I know." She said, remembering having to leave through the knowledge he was dead. She sighed and went inside, exhausted already and collapsing onto the couch. She snatched up a blanket and curled into a ball. She was hungry, but didn't say anything

"You need anything?" Caden asks, voice casual yet laced with concerned as he leashed Murphy.
| |

Rose shook her head, drifting off
| |

"Alright, well i'm going to go on a run with Murph. I love you," He added, popping on a pair of sunglasses and his airpods before heading out to go run.
| |

"I love you too" She muttered, half-asleep
| |

Caden went on a nice run and came back a hour or two later, sweating lightly as he tossed his damp shirt in the laundry.
| |

Rose slept silently, the blanket having fallen off of her a bit ago
