Adele smiled when he didn't sit. Typical Caelan. Ignoring her to make sure she was all right. "No, I'm okay. Really. Oh, Caelan..." She buried her head in his shoulder, recalling all the events in the past day. "I was so scared when I saw Aurora all beat up, and then they announced that you were dead, and then your mother took over and attacked, and then she..." Adele trailed off, wanting to forget the words the evil woman had said to her. But they were still lodged in her heart, still piercing her. 'He's dead. Because of you. You led that boy to his death.' Even with Caelan alive, and holding in his arms, she couldn't forget those words. How had she led him to his death? What even happened? She wanted to ask him, but she couldn't make her mouth form words. |

"But I'm not dead anymore, huh? I'm okay. You're okay. I love you. She will never hurt you again. I'll see to it." He said softly, holding her close and pressing a kiss to her head. "My goddess." He breathed, rubbing her back in slow circles. "None of this is your fault" He added softly |

(How's RO going for you?) Adele tried to steady her breathing. 'Calm down, Adele. Caelan's not dead! You should be happy, not crying. What's wrong with you?' Her mind chastised, making her feel worse. She should be happy. Beyond that, she should be helping her people and looking for her parents and brother. Adele breathed in shakily, letting the breath out slowly. A few breaths later, she was somewhat calmer and ready to go. She pulled away from Caelan and said, "Can we look for my parents now?" She knew she sounded like a little kid, but she needed her parents like anyone. Even Caelan. Suddenly Adele felt sorry for him. The only mother he'd ever known was the most evil person Adele had ever met. That must be awful. |

(Aw darn. Sorry :( I got SO many EEE fillies that it's driving me crazy, the WWW you saw the forum for, and lots of E SD colts. Though all the EEEs had good color. So not a failure, but I did spend way too many EBs >.< One match was nearly 500k and it got me an EEE D:< Oh and let me know if you're interested in any of them by PM, I'm happy to sell/get rid of some of them.) . Adele followed him out of the room, through the castle, and out into the city. "Where should we look first?" she asked, scanning the nearly empty streets for the familiar figures of her parents and little brother. She had scoured most of the city before, but they could be inside or even fighting in the battle. "We could ask around to see if anyone's seen them?" |

Adele was growing frustrated. "Caelan, I asked you to help me because I don't know what to do! Please help, or I might start freaking out." She was desperate and pleading. She knew if she stopped doing something and let her mind roam, she would go into panic mode. |

"I'm...sorry. Let's head out to the stables and work our way around until we get back here" He said quietly |

Adele felt tears in her eyes at his quiet voice. Why did she have to be so pushy? She wiped her eyes and said, "Okay. Good idea," almost whispering. They searched the city, starting at the stables and scouring every road and alleyway. They made their way back to where they had started, empty-handed. Adele, weary and hopeless, found the nearest bench and plopped down onto it. She hid her face in her hands, trying to sort out her feelings. (So I have no idea if he parents are actually still alive. I think I want them to be dead, but Alban still alive and in the care of one of their friends. Maybe. *shrug*) |

Caelan stood, holding out his hand before leading her to her room and asking someone to grab her some food |
