Tyler finished rather quickly, knowing this was a fast drying paint. "Believe it I really not I've been carrying this with me since this whole thing began." Tyler smiled. "I just... had it." He chuckled, thinking back to his old town. One day he just picked up a bucket of black paint... and decided to take to along with him when the pandemic thingy happened.

Regan rolled her eyes at him and went to flick his nose playfully once he put the paint down on the ground. "Freak," she joked in a playful tone. She looked around, and people were still around. "Do you know who did it? The paint?" She asked quietly before shaking her head. It was incredibly nasty of them... especially if they were all meant to be looking out for eachother.

Tyler rolled his eyes at her tease. "At least I was PREPARED for this situation." He snorted. Tyler stood back and watched it dry, satisfied with his work. Tyler glanced at Regan as she asked her question. "No... I don't. I do have a guess, though." He said quietly. Tyler glanced around once. "Well, my father. For one he is the only person that knows red is my second favorite color. For two that almost looked like his handwriting, but it was hard to tell. For three... it seems like something he would do." Tyler murmured, stating his points. His dad had unique handwriting... and this looked a lot like it.

Regan laughed before nodding to him. "Well, it certainly sounds like you," the girl told him with a small smile. He always just seemed to have everything under control... it was nice to have someone like that around. She looked at his father with a bit of a scowl. "You two are so different. I didn't understand how you're related," she told him with a bit of a laugh. "But, I suppose, at least he used one of you're favourite colours," she then added with an amused shrug. She looked up, watching the sun slowly start to set. "Oh, come on, I don't want to miss the sunset!" She told him with a grin.

Tyler shook his head. "My mom just married the wrong person." Tyler grunted, standing and walking towards the tree. "Now I would much rather pull than push, so wait." He murmured, Jumping up into the tree. He sat on a branch and looked down at Regan. Tyler held out his hand, reaching down just far enough. "No, I won't drop you." He teased, ready to pull her up.

Regan nodded and gave a bit of a pout. "Ah, so you were a mommy's boy?" She asked with an amused chuckle. She followed him along to the tree with a happy grin. She nodded when he said he'd rather pull, but nodded to him and watch him scramble up. "I know you're tall, but it's still a wonder to me how you get up there," she chuckled lightly. She cocked her head when he said he wouldn't drop her. "You promise? I know what you're like!" She hummed with a bit of a laugh before she took his hand to be hoisted up. Tyler rolled his eyes at her comment, grabbing her hand and pulling her up into the tree easily. "For one, I'm REALLY tall." He chuckled. "For two.. I didn't drop you, so I guess I really meant it." Tyler smiled, glancing up. "Now lets go see the sunset" he said quietly, pulling himself up a couple more branches, then leaping up to the last one. He was now at the top of the tree... and the sun was already glorious in the sky. They had got there just in time.

The girl laughed softly when he just rolled her eyes at his comment. "You were. You were a little suck-up to your mother as a kid, weren't you?!" She asked with a grin. She didn't think he would be kind to suck up to anybody - but when she thought about he definitely seemed like a mommy's boy. He might not have been, but she could still tease him as much as she felt like. She rolled her eyes when he said he was really tall. "You're tall? Oh wow, I didn't notice," she joked as she followed him up the tree until she could see the sky... the blues and oranges blending together making it quite gorgeous Edited at April 26, 2023 02:43 PM by Belle

Tyler sighed. He didn't exactly appreciate this joking as much. His mother was the sweetest person he knew... he his father was the devil in a humans body. He wasn't a 'suck up' or a 'momma boy'. He was just grateful he had at least one good parent. Tyler decided to ignore those jokes. He watched the sunset, the oranges, pinks, blues, and reds lighting up his black eyes.

Regan did notice when the boy went a bit quieter. That was fine. She didn't want to make him uncomfortable, and if her joking didn't make him smile, then it wasn't particularly worth making. She really did just want to see him smile. She sighed and gently bumped his side. "Sorry," she whispered as she got comfortable on the branch, looking up at the sky with a small smile... it was pretty, very pretty.
