Sage was brushing his hair out when Remy spoke up, and he looked over at him curiously. "Of course," he noted. Had he done something to make Remy think otherwise?

"Can you say it?" He asked softly. Remy had said it before, let's of times, but Sage hadn't ever said it back.

Sage sort of blinked, caught off guard a bit by his question. But then his face softened, a small smile forming on his face as he set the brush down and crouched so he could place his hands on the sides of remys face. "I love you, Remy," he noted softly. "Don't let anything or anyone make you think otherwise," he added softly, leaning forward to place a tender kiss on his forehead

Remy smiled softly, "I love you too," he whispered back, letting him kiss his head before cuddling in.

Sage squeezed remy gently, sort of trying to figure out why he'd asked that. He knew he wasn't always the most lovey dovey guy but....he did show his love for Remy ....right? He did all the chores, the meals, clean up, and the like. They cuddled all the time, and he clearly enjoyed the creature comforts. They'd literally just made love on a beach, of all things. Finally, he gave up and let out a soft breath. "If there's something I'm not doing... something you want me to do....tell me," he noted gently. He'd do anything for him. Then again, that's what got him in trouble so badly before.

Remy looked up at the boy. "When I say I love you, you've never said it back," he whispered.

Sage sort of cocked his head slightly, trying to recall those times. "I haven't," he asked, admittedly sort of surprised. Then he felt really guilty about it and offered Remy a soft smile. "Sorry," he breathed, just tugging him on for another embrace. "It's still so odd to me...good, but odd. You say it and I panic a little bit," he added with a sort of sheepish chuckle. "I'll try to do better," he promised softly.

Remy smiled softly and nodded. "Sorry," he chuckled sheepishly. He nodded again, "Okay," he smiled, leaning into his hug, tucking his head against his shoulder.

Sage squeezed remy again gently, though once his legs came back and sages stomach growled, he pulled back and helped Remy to his feet. "Now, let's get lunch," he suggested. "I'm starving," he added with a chuckle.

Remy smiled softly, gwtting up and getting dressed. "Mm, me too," he hummed, walking with him to the kitchen.
