Morgan sighed softly and gently ran her fingers through his hair before gently hugging him. She made sure not to touch anything that would hurt. She looked over at him, and pressed a slightly longer kiss to his lips, just for a moment. "I love you more," she whispered softly to him. "We've got you, yeah?" She murmured softly. Her cat hopped up on the bed after a moment, and she sat up to give the animal a fuss.

Caleb nodded with a wince. It bothered him that she didn't know if she'd want him if he went to jail. He didn't want her to ever leave him, but he couldn't force her. Maybe it's just paranoia...He thought, watching her but not mentally listening. He wished he hadn't promised to stay out of her head sometimes, but right now he understood why

Morgan picked up the little animal, which curled up almost instantly in her arms, a soft purr crackling from his throat. "We're too young for all this to be happening, Caleb," she whispered tiredly. It was so stressful... they had too much going on to be worrying about this too.

"No, you should be going to school and have a normal boyfriend who doesn't have shitty parents or mind reading. You are too young to have to deal with me." He stated, voice firm despite the burn in his lungs and back

Morgan gave him a look after a moment, and put the cat down softly. "Caleb, you're too young for all this too," she murmured. "You don't deserve any of this to be happening," she murmured gently. "But it's better we deal with this together than alone," she promised, squeezing his hand softly. "I love you," she murmured gently. "All I want to do is deal with you," she smiled lightly.

Caleb didn't respond, his mind spinning into a dangerous path of denial and regret

Morgan sighed, and leaned in to press a firm kiss to his lips. "I love you," she murmured gently. "I wanna look after you," she whispered softly. "But I don't want to promise you anything that I can't hold up," she told him, her hand running softly down his neck.

"I know" He said quietly, not able to focus on one thing at a time

Morgan sighed, her brows pinching together. He needed something to focus on... something to take his mind off things, if he needed it. She looked down at him as he lay on the bed, his bruises from the night before starting to come up. "You can read my mind, if you'd like," she murmured quietly. She wanted him to know that everything she was thinking was as positive as it could be. All she could think about was her love for him. How much she wanted him to be okay, and how much she wanted to help.

"I promised I wouldn't..." He said, but snuck a peek anyways. He liked what he saw-or rather heard. He smiled softly at her, her love for him more than able to be put into words. Her mind was nearly a raging river of thoughts going thousands of directions that he couldn't follow.
