"I'll be quick." He said evenly, picking up the sheet again once she was on her feet. Finally he'd stopped struggling and figured it out. It wasn't long before he'd gotten the couch-bed ready and threw some pillows down. "Alright, in ya go." He pulled the blanket away from where she was gonna lay and gestured for her. Tempe hovered nearby, watching him with her head tilted. "I should time you, then we'll really know if you're quick." She teased, slowly getting into the bed. She tilted her head up at him for a few moments, smiling. "Thanks." She said simply, curling up slightly.

"Well if you tell me and time me you'll be at a disadvantage." He cocked an eyebrow. He came to a squat and pulled the blanket up over her. He smiled faintly at her grace and got up to turn the lamp off. He came back and knelt down on the dark navy sheets. He'd have just flopped but the couch bed was a bit bouncy and he decided she probably wouldn't want to flop about at the moment so he ..gently faceplanted on his pillow.

"Gently faceplanted" -Rem 2024 Going right next to Incandescent Rotisserie)) "I'm never at a disadvantage. Because I'm awesome." Tempe stated bluntly, a teasing tone to her voice. She watched him move about faintly as her eyes adjusted to the dark, raising her eyebrows when he knelt on the sheets. She hadn't realized they would be sharing a bed until now, but she didn't mind. She giggled faintly as he face planted, shifting to get more comfortable. No matter how she moved, she was always brushing against him, and eventually she gave up her pursuit of space. She resorted to turning on her side with a slight wince to set her head on his chest rather than the pillow. Her wing extended and draped gently over him as she closed her eyes, exhausted by a full day of doing nothing.

Theres more where that came from and there ALWAYS will be)) Nate huffed a laugh into the pillow. Then rolled over onto his back as he noticed her pitiful struggle. He was gonna offer to like move or help or something but she trapped him and threw her heated blanket limb on him. There was no chance he was moving now. "Goodnight Tempe." He murmured, looking down at her, he put his hand on her back, having nowhere else to put it comfortably. Edited at January 20, 2024 11:36 PM by Prismatic Cove

At his words, she tentatively set her hand on the side of his abs that was closest to her. Sitting with her arm scrunched to her chest just... wasn't comfortable. "Night, Nate. Don't let the bedbugs bite." She muttered back teasingly, shifting into him slightly as his hand rested on her back- which she didn't mind. She fell asleep surprisingly quickly after that, waking at a somewhat early time to the sun filtering in through the windows.

Her hand placement had left his questioning for another hour before he could make himself sleep, managing to the rest of the night. Shifting slightly before he opened his eyes. Gazing down at the slight weight on his abdomen.

Tempe shifted slightly, glancing up to find Nate at her side. "Hey." She said softly, sitting up a bit with a wince. She slowly retracted both her hand and wing, glancing down at him and offering a small smile.

"Morning." His voice was as might be expected in the morning. Tired, gruff. "How'd you sleep?" He asked. Moving over and sitting up to help her just in case, it looked a little like a reflex.

Tempe tilted her head faintly at the sound of his voice, surprised at how different it sounded in the morning- particularly, this morning. "Pretty good. How about you?" She asked lightly, watching him move as if she might need to be saved with a small chuckle.
