Elijah smiles, "hey back". He holds her in his arms lovingly. "How was the first day of school?" he asks

"Exciting. Tiring. All of the above." She said, leaning on him

Elijah nods, "would you like to watch a movie?"

"Yeah." She said, taking his hand and leading him to the bed. She flops down dramatically.

Elijah pulls out the remote. "What would you like to watch?"

"I don't care." She mumbled, climbing into his lap. She kissed his jaw, wishing she wasn't so tired so that they could have fun. She closed her eyes and traced the muscles on his left arm while he clicked the remote with his right.

Elijah settled with Anne with an E, one of his favorite childhood movies. "This okay?" He asks her.

"Yeah." She mumbled, glancing at the T.V. She wrapped her arms around him and tipped her head back, exhausted from the day. She climbed on top of him to wrap her arms and legs around him, her head resting on his chest. She closed her eyes, wanting to just snuggle, but she kept her mouth shut for Eli's sake.

Elijah could tell that she didn't actually want to watch the movie, seeming too exhusted. He turned off the television and hled her to his side.

She sighed and snuggld in closer to him. "I love you, Eli." She said, fallign asleep. The next morning, Dakota got up before Elijah and got dressed. She wore a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt, not caring what t-shirt she wore underneath it. She grabbed a halter and leadrope, going over to take Eli's hand. "Handsome, i'm going to go ride Secret around the indoor arena a bit. Maybe get a couple of barrel runs in. I'll see you later. Love you." She kissed him quickly, but with passion. Dakota walked out of the dorm and to the barn where her mare was whinying for breakfast. "I'm coming!" Dakota called down the barn aisle to Secret. Dakota grabbed some grain and a couple flecks of hay, plopping them both into their respective feeders. She groomed out Secret while the mare happily munched on her breakfast. Dakota sang quietly to her horse while picking Secret's feet. The mare had always been finicky with her feet, and singing helped her cope.
