I looked at the vampire as he moved back towards the body in the alleyway. I watched him as he lifted it effortlessly. I looked around at the people starting to move about and gave him a frown as to how he was going to dispose of a body AND keep watch on me.

I felt a familair vibration at my wrist. My watch! I thought. I track my movements and find my way encase he were to move upon me, in the same manor I tracked my runs every Sunday. I look up at the vampire, my eyes widen slightly to see if he would notice anything unusal. After all, I wasn't sure what powers he possessed and whether he could trace the vibration, so I kept it concealed under my light parka from the day before.

I need to create a distraction somehow so I can access it and start tracking my steps.

I continued to stare at the vampire. Like he was lost in thought. His mannerisms were becoming unsettling. People were moving about now. So instead I challenged him.

"I could scream you know" I raised my eyebrows, beginning to soud cocky. The watch, hummed again. I stragetically placed a hand over it, over my coat to dampen the vibrations. I kept my eyes on him in the hopes he wouldn't say anything.

"All these people. I could draw attention to me.... to you" I said, humour lacing my tone. "What is it gonna be vampire?" I gave him a deadpan stare to see how he would navigate such a situation. This situation would determine the course of my actions of saving myself.

I didn't dare let my thoughts return to anything else as we seemed have reached an impasse. The sun rising fully now. People going to work, cars moving on the streets and there he was, this gorgeous vampire standing in front of me, with a dead boy in his grip.

I huffed a laugh. Parting my lips, my eyes twinkling in the sunlight.

I felt my lips tug upwards as he hissed at me. I study him, could see he was calculating his options. A deep weight within him.

"Is that a challenge?" I bite out. My smile gone now but replaced with something else. Anger perhaps, at the situation I had gotten myself into.

My stomach coiling at his words about him turning to look for another snack. I dared poke holes in his plan. "You've just had a snack..." A faint smiled played across my lips. Ohhhh so daring.

I stared down the vampire once more. "What are you going to do vampire? There are humans everywhere, you can't just walk around with a dead body in your arms" My confidence building, the sass flashing in my gaze.

I turned to look for the nearest person available. I spotted a couple of community police officers walking in our direction. I glanced back at the vampire. Suddenly, the tension in the air was thickening. "You have two police officers walking this way" I said smuggly, crossing my arms, in front of him. I stepped backwards slowly, putting any distance I could between myself and him.

I watched him as I stepped backwards out of the alleyway into the path of the police officers. I narrowed my eyes at him.

I felt a wave of calm wash over me as he spoke. Did I want to walk away? It only lasted momentarily before the fear rose in my throat again, my confidence ebbing once more.

I shook my head like I was in some sort of daze. I looked at the sky, to shake the feeling. The hair at the back of my neck had risen. The momentary ebb in my confidence returned.

I glanced towards to the police officers but not before I smirked at him. I was going to give him his ultimatum. I turned towards them.

"Officers!" I waved. Their attention turned towards me. The vampire still concealed by the alleyway. I looked back at him raising my eyebrows, a smirk on my face. I slowly stepped in their direction. This was my chance.

The officers were getting closer now. I glanced at them, my heartbeat rising as they approached. Something seemed off about the whole few minutes I'd been standing there.

I watched as he slumped the body against the wall, closing the gap between me and him. My cocky smile faded.

The sunlight gilding his hair into coppery tones, his blues alert, twinkling at me with curiousity and intrigue.

A dread washed over me as if this wasn't over. The gorgeous man...vampire.. that stood before me.

"Hello?" One of the approaching officers called to me. I broke my gaze and turned to face the officers, taking yet another step back now. Dangreously close to the road.

"Hi, please can you help me?" I said raising my hand towards the vampire's direction. They started to swing round to assess the situation.

"I'm an detective for the London Met. I've just stopped this gentleman here" I point at him again. I keep my gaze off him, hoping that it was his eyes that didn't make me feel dazed again. I listened intently, as I watched the two officers move into position.

As soon as there was enough distraction, I was going to move off. The challenge presenting itself more now. Would he be able to control this many people? Having witnessed a dead body in his posession.

I waited for my opportunity.
