》 Danika 《 Danika smiled slightly as the siren tilted his head, sitting down. She absolutely beamed as he mimicked her- he probably didn't know what it meant, but she was choosing to believe it was good. "Good." She nodded, her smile dimming as he skittered further back into the tank. She turned to watch Adam come in again, a sheet of paper in his hand. He cleared his throat as he handed it to her, eyeing the siren as he did so. "An estimate for prices. If you have any input, it would certainly be obliged." He stated, standing awkwardly for a moment. Danika took the paper and looked it over, then back up at him. "You could have emailed this to me. Get out, please." She said, voice deadpan but not entirely impolite. She glanced back at the siren. "Well. At least you don't have to worry about have a job. Or a boyfriend. Trust me, both suck." She muttered, picking up her phone and shooting a few texts through. "How do you feel about a little dinner? I'm gonna try and get them to give you live food. Wierd to me, I guess, but that's what you're used to, huh?" She continued lightly.

● म्हासागर | Osiris ● म्हासागर glanced at her when the other man left. She didn't know what he was saying... it was weird. He opened his mouth, mimicking the shape of her mouth as she spoke. When she stopped, he closed his mouth as well. म्हासागर pushed off the back of the tank, hesitantly scooting forward on the sandy bottom of the tank. His pearly white tail shone brightly despite being inside... it was even prettier in the sunlight. म्हासागर flexed his tail, moving it up and down. He lied on his stomach, watching the female curiously. He didn't know why he was so interested... but maybe he could be neutral around her. Until she hurt him atleast. म्हासागर watched her curiously, wondering what she was doing. He buried his webbed fingers into the sand, closing them into fists and dragging some sand with him as he stretched. His tail quivered slightly at the stretch before he went back to a more relaxed position. His whole body was on display now. His webbed, black tipped, clawed hands, his dark eyes, his messy white hair and of course, his pearly white fish tail. The fins fluttering up in the water. His skin was a pasty white color with black marks swirling the skin, a few scars ran over the flesh as well. He was... not what you would think of when you heard "mercreature." Not at all.

》 Danika 《 Danika paused as she caught him moving his mouth to mimick what she was saying; she broke out in a smile not long afterward. "You're funny. There's only one way to learn, right?" She chuckled, watching the Merman come closer. So timid. "Can't imagine the trouble I'd get in if I taught you English." She added, setting her phone down on the table beside her and standing up. She watched the man- creature, that is- in the tank, observing him as he stretched. She hopped up on the table and settled, tilting her head at him. Such a handsome sight. "You're very stunning, do you know that? Not a mermaid, by today's standards, but gorgeous anyway." She said simply, hopping off the desk and moving to the door as she heard a knock. She opened it and watched the attendee wheel the live fish tank into the room, gawk at the Merman for a moment, then turn around and scurry off. She shut the door and blew out a sigh.

● म्हासागर | Osiris ● म्हासागर scooted away as another person walked over. He stared them down, fin flexing at the person. He didn't like it... it was a relief when the other human scurried away... he looked like a fleeing fish. म्हासागर looked behind him curiously. What was the human so scared of? Seeing only the tank he decided to not worry about it. Humans were odd. He looked back at the female, tilting his head. She was picking at whatever was on that cart... his eyes narrowed. म्हासागर scooted close to the glass, webbed hand touching against the see through glass. He watched the fish swim around in the small buckets in interest. He wondered what fish it would be. Salmon maybe? He hoped it would be salmon... salmon reminded him of home... he wanted to go home. म्हासागर pulled his hand away, making a face at the thought. His tail flicked anxiously, stirring the sand up and letting him do a nervous circle around the tank. He landed back in the sea of kelp. म्हासागर made sure not to move his tail while in the kelp, he didn't need his fin wrapped up... he was already stuck here.

》 Danika 《 Danika smiled as Osiris splayed a hand against the glass, taking a bucket in each hand and walking up the stairs to the hatch in the tank. The set them down as she slowly opened the heavy tank, still wary of the creature within. She didn't trust him not to drag her in and attempt to drown her. She gently lifted a bucket and then poured it into the tank- this one, about 3 recently sized, live salmon rocketed into the tank. The next was 4 smaller fish- rockfish, she was pretty sure. She shut the hatch and came back down, bringing the buckets with her. She put them back on the cart and grabbed the other two, doing the same with them and pouring them into the tank. It was similiar, a few salmon, a few other varieties of fish. She put the buckets back and pushed the cart out of the room. She came back in and washed her hands in a small sink near the corner of the room.

● म्हासागर | Osiris ● म्हासागर's eyes followed the fish around the room. He could hear the vibrations of their tails, the flick of their bodies through the water. It reminded him of home.... he looked around, noticing that the water was warm. He made a face, disdain on his face. He liked it cold... म्हासागर was distracted by a fish swimming by. His clawed hand darted out, wrapping around it. He held it between his hands. He tore off its head with his teeth and began biting into the fish, his sharp teeth ripping through the fish's skin with no effort. After eating the fish, bone and all, he looked around for another. म्हासागर flicked his tail eagerly, surging forward and grabbing a salmon. He paused, letting himself sink to the sand and biting at the squirming fish's head. His pearly white fin flicked happily as he chewed on the salmon.

》 Danika《 Danika crossed her arms and leaned back against the table, watching Osiris dart around his tank. She blinked in surprise at... how he ate, but she settled into it after a moment. He was a predator. Like an orca, or a lion. This was normal. She was a marine biologist- this was nothing. She watched him intently for a few moments, then left the room and shut the door behind her. About ten minutes later, she walked back in, a steaming plastic container of ramen in her hands. There was a poached egg on top and it looked slightly cheesy- not jsut plain old ramen. She set it down at her desk and started eating quietly, just... tired.

● म्हासागर | Osiris ● म्हासागर chewed on a salmon body happily, letting the blood from the fish swirl around the tank in a red hue. He tipped his head back, gulping down the rest of the fish and looking around for another eagerly. His eyes were caught by the female, who was sitting and eating... something? म्हासागर tolted his head. It didn't look good. Fish was much better. Did she need a fish? Could humans not hunt? म्हासागर frowned... aw... he didn't want the human to go hungry... at least not without having some king salmon. They were good. म्हासागर looked around. Eyes following a salmon around the tank. His tail sweeper quickly, allowing him to dart out and catch the fish between his fingers. He squeezed until blood began swirling around the tank from the fish. He glanced at the glass, scooting to it and tapping on it. म्हासागर held the fish in his mouth for her. She could just starve. At least not now. And whatever she was eating looked horrible to him.

》 Danika 《 Danika managed about two bites of her food before she slowly lost interest. She hadn't been able to keep much down recently- and throwing up wasn't high on her list of priorities. She gently pushed it back and took a few long swigs of water before glancing at Osiris. She tilted her head slightly as he stared at her, fish between his teeth. She smiled politely at him. "For me?" She asked curiously, pointing from the fish to herself.

● म्हासागर | Osiris ● म्हासागर tilted his head. Oh! He got the female humans attention. She pointed to the fish then herself. His fin fluttered and he nodded, pointing from the fish to her, mimicking the movement. He nodded again. म्हासागर guided himself along the glass, getting a bit closer to the female human. His gills twitched, fin flapping as he kept himself pressed to the glass. The salmon was held between his sharp, shark like teeth.
