Midnight tensed when the humans came out of the trees, but relaxed when they remained calm, she walked over ears flicking and lowered her head to eat a apple

Lucifer kept a sharp eye out. He flicked his ears back at the slightest wrong move

"Maybe you're right, maybe these people aren't as bad!" Midnight said picking up another apple and pulling a small rear for the people to thank them, they did seem harmless, but maybe today was a rest day. Who knows? They brought food for the wild horses

Lucifer trotted around head close to the ground like the western pleasure horses did. He was a very skilled horse but he did it to keep a eye out for any hooves or paws in the woods

Midnight soon became thirsty, she shot a glance to Lucifer as if to say 'I'm going over to the lake' before trotting off over the hill to the next valley to the lake. She stopped and had a long drink of water

Lucifer put his head and and watched as she left. He then ate another apple still looking out for hooves.

Midnight drank deeply, the water tasted so good, every now and then she'd lift her head and let it drop down her muzzle and neck, keeping her cool on this warm day, she heaved slightly feeling uncomfortable she grunted in annoyance "Stupid Outlanders!" The blue roan mare tossed her head and pawed the ground.

After Midnight was done at the lake, drinking and getting her frustration out. She cantered back through the valley and over the hill, joining the herd (Is there a herd? If so, who's herd is it? XD)

Midnight noticed Lucifer laying on his side and walked over, standing over him blocking the sun with a grin "Having a tanning day M'Lady?" She teased the stallion before walking a few feet away leaving Lucifer in peace, she too laid down in the grass staring into the abyss
