Chris laughed and splashed water up on her, it freaked her horse out and he felt sorry the second he did it, "I am real not some crazy human that does stupid stuff, sorry bout that" he stood up and patted her horse trying to quiet him down, the look in the horses eye's told Chris he was not a friend. Chris backed away and sat back down, "It's special being able to run away from humanity for a little while to relax in nature". Chris finally felt as though he could talk about nature without feeling judged.

Shout shied away from the water "what was that for? You aren't scared if water!" She leaned up to Shouts ear, her words calming him down. Shout pinned his ears a little as Chris approached. "Shh shh shh" she let the roan geldings neck and he lowered his head, grazing. "Wel there's still a bit of humanity right here" she raised her arms then let them flop back down. "Sorry to burst your bubble"

Chris sighed and looked across the water, "Its getting a bit chilly out here, don't you wanna go back now?" He stood up slowing and stretched, turning around he untied his horse and mounted. "Tomorrow I can go into town with you and you can fancy yourself with a couple of dresses, if you want" he paused knowing that she most likely hated dresses and shopping, "Or I could possibly see if I could arrange for you to visit your family for the day, Up to you how you spend your day".

Annika gave him the puppy dog eyes "leaving so soon?" Then she giggled, returning to her normal self immediately after. She watched him mount then tilted her head at his words. "I don't need dresses." She said flatly then she paused. "I... I like the second option much better" she grilled Shouts mane. Was she that transparent? Was it obvious? She looked down then moved Shout. "Let's go. It's getting dark. If it were Jo to me I would stay out here all night but your parents probably woukdnt like that..." she glanced at Chris then turned her gaze back to the castle.

Chris laughed and pulled his horse into a fast trot, "Well then its settled I'll escort you to your family castle, might have to pull a few strings but I'll get ya there one way or another". He smiled at Annika and took off into a gallop trying to beat her to the castle. He pulled up to the castle and dismounted, passing the lead to the stable hand, he reached over and grabbed Annika's reins before she could stop him and also gave them to the stable hand. "Your majesty its a bit late for you to be out now" Caleb the castles personal trainer whispered, Chris yawned, "Well, we're back now"

Annika smiled "thank you" she said softly then pushed Shout into gallop. He sprinted after Chris then osssed him with ease. Annika was about to dismount when a tub game from one side of the reins. "I don't need- oh. I'm sorry but would you mind if u out Shout up myself..?" She hopped down then out her hand in the reins while the boy and Chris spoke. She gently pulled them from his grip then walked Scout to the stall he was in, releasing him and rubbing him down. She massaged his knees a little then stood up straight, kissing his muzzle. "Goidnight bud" she said, letting him one last time then closing the stall door behind her. "I'm ready now"

Chris smiled, "Oki lets go inside, Goodnight Caleb". Chris slowly started towards the back door of the castle and opened the door, he signalled Annika to go in then followed her, closing the door behind him. "Goodnight Princess Annika see you in the morning" he bowed and slowly turned up the stairs, "Oh and by the way your room is the first one on the right, just in case you forgot" he teased.

Annika reluctantly followed Chris to the door, stepping in in front of him then stopping. She giggled "yes, thank you Prince Chris. I think I may be lost without you" she joked back as she curtsied. She started toward her room, opening the door and finding a maid inside. "Oh hello" she said, immediately getting a respectful curtsy. "hello Your Highness. Is there anything I can get you?" Annika shook her head. "Thank you though. You are excused" the girl curtsied again then left the room without hesitating. Annika sighed then changed into a cozy nightgown and sat in bed. She couldn't go to sleep, so she quietly escaped her room and headed toward the kitchen. She could smell the bread being made for tomorrow morning so she followed the scent, opening the door. The room was busy and she snuck into a corner, grabbing a cup and some water.

Chris laughed going back to his room, he had finally felt as though he had a friend. He wanted nothing more than a friendship but it didn't seem that way. He opened his room door and walked towards the only window. He looked out, such a beautiful night. Pulling the curtains back he rolled into bed and slept peacefully.

Annika had gone back to her room and managed to fall asleep before midnight hit. It was about seven in the morning when a knock came on her door. "Annika. Annika wake up" her Fathers voice filtrated the room and she bolted from her bed, swinging open the door. "What is it Father?" She asked. He held out his hand, motioning for her to leave her room. "Your horse escaped last night and he came back bruised and scraped" before he could tell her what happened, Annika was already running down the stairs. There was a stable hand holding the restless horse and trying to lead him inside the barn. "Shout!" She cried out. The gelding yanked his lead rope from the hands grasp and trotted to Annika. She grabbed his rope then examined his roaning body. His red coat was covered in scratches, some deeper than others. "Let's get you cleaned up buddy" she said, leading him to a wash stall. One of the hands tried to take Shout from Annika but she shook her head. "I can take care of my horse, thank you"
