"Yea yea, I'll have it back before I know it." He rolled his eyes. "What if I am mocking you? What are you going to do about it?" He said, very clearly trying to copy her voice. "I'm persistent because I know that I know what I'm talking about, and I know that you don't know what you're talking about." He said, giving her a very causious smile.

"I know exactly what I am talking about!" She protested with a slight smile. "You really don't know what I have been through and it shows. But all I can say is that I'm different and I'm used to this type of thing" her happy tone had disappeared and was replaced with a cold and distant sound. "But fine. Ill put it on" she cautiously took the sweater from his hands and gently pulled it on. "There. Happy?" She asked, a guarded smile playing on her lips. She pushed her red hair over her shoulder, the waves cascading down her back in the most beautiful way she could imagine

"You don't know what I've been through either." His smiled dropped and his voice got quieter. He gave a nod of relief when she put the sweater on. "Yes. Keep the sweater on until the cut fully closes up. Then you can give it back if you'd like."

"Thatll on,y take a few hours" she mumbled. Saphire glanced around. His sweater was warm and she had to admit that it was nice to not worry about being attacked. She was visibly more relaxed then she felt, but she had definitely calmed down more in the past ten seconds than ghe last ten years. She pulled herself out of the water and asked over to a small tree. "I need to get off the ground" she muttered, climbing up and settling in the branches. "So much safer up here" she said

Cade stared at her in shock. She just scaled a tree like it was nothing. He looked down at himself and his bag, there was no way he was going to manage to get himself into that tree. He let out a guarded laugh. "I'm not going to climb that tree. Sorry that I'm not an owl like you." He tried to joke, hoping that it came across that way.

"An owl, you say? No. More like a squirrel " she debated telling him or not. Might as well take her chances right? She felt like he would already know because of the way she spilled when he looked at her the right way. "How good are you at keeping secrets?" She ventured out
| |
"A rabid squirrel." He joked. He looked at her, making eye contact. He tried to get something from her, some bit of information from staring into her eyes. "Really good." He said. He was telling the truth but there was no way to prove that to Saphire, she would just have to trust him.
"Really good? Ok then" she paused, gathering her thoughts. "So you have that board right? Do you actually believe anything that has to do with that? Spirits, ghosts, angels.. demons?" She tilted her head ever so slightly as she gazed down at Cade. He wasn't too bad looking. Then again she was surrounded by insufferable creatures that beat her up. Her light on men was not the best

Cade stared into her eyes, trying to figure out if he should answer honestly. He paused and looked down at his Ouija board. "Yes."
"What would you do if I said there was one here..?" Her eyes looked everywhere but at him. She couldn't look at him. She could feel her wings become stiff. She had to stretch them somehow. "What if.. what if I said.." she couldn't get the words out so she dared a glimpse at him instead
