"I'd say so." Elowyn shrugged quietly, running her palm down the gelding's neck and figuring that would be the end of the conversation. When it wasn't, she shifted on her feet in a slightly anxious way. She hadn't held a full on conversation with someone where they weren't asking her for something or using her to get somewhere in months. Curt, brisk interactions were what she was used to. The paranoia didn't help her either. "I didn't know you were studying my clothing habits." She retorted, somewhere between a flat and sarcastic tone.

Halfway done with the braid, she was almost done eating. He smiled slightly. "I don't think sunglasses count ad clothing." He remarked, a slight snicker in his voice. Braiding quickly, making smooth movements and ending it tightly, stepping to her face, he scratched her cheek and started on her lucious but shorter forelock.

"It's an accessory. Generally, those fall under clothing." Elowyn quipped back, unsure if she was annoyed or not. She blew out a small breath, glancing at her phone before she shoved it back in her pocket and ran her fingers gently down the gelding's face. Now that she was really considering the hasty decision to buy the ranch- what was she doing? Or supposed to do? She knew nothing about ranching. So far, it was a pretty boring start.

"Whaaatever you say boss." Dante bit back with some sarcasm of his own. Two braids on either side of the mare's face, one was black and one white. He kissed her big ol happy face and grabbed his empty pail. He slipped in a door in the middle of the barn, back out with the same red bucket. There were actually only ten horses in the stable right now, the others were working or pasturing, already at 9 in the morning. He came by her and slipped in her gelding's stall as if she wasn't there and filled his manger. "So what did you buy this place for? Normally city folk don't just up and buy a farm." He glanced up at her eyes.

Elowyn rolled her eyes, leaning gently against stall door and pressing a a few light kisses to the gelding's muzzle. She blinked when sort of just... appeared beside her and moved past her. She took two hard steps back, displeased by how close he had been. She crossed her arms quietly, since she didn't quite know what else to do with them. She glanced at him for the question, her head tipped down slightly. When he glanced at her eyes she immiediately brought her gaze to the ground. She wasn't very good with eye contact. "Call it necessity." She shrugged quietly, clenching her fists slightly on her arms and wandering to one of the few other horses. This time, it was the sweet gypsy mare with braids. Little ball of social anxiety, is it cuz hes a dude or does she do that to everyone? The male thing would make sense for her past ...career)) Dante shifted his weight, curiosity piquing at her immediate shyness. More so than usual. Or at least what seemed usual before. He moved out of the stall as she walked away, done with feeding finally. He placed the bucket in room and shut the door. "Do you want to learn how to ride one?" He was watching her aimless wandering toward any horse she could find. Hands on his hips. Again.

Cuz hes a dude Shes also not great with conversations that dont have a fixed point or demand that needs to be met She can be authoritative, just not usually in enclosed spaces or in close contact)) Elowyn was acutely aware of Dante despite the fact her back was to him- just listening in an instinctively anxious way. She gently stroked the mare down the straight of her face, her other finding her chin and moving back and forth gently. She blinked at his question, looking over her shoulder skeptically. "...I mean, yes. It's a bit late for 25 year old woman to try to figure it out though, isn't it?" She answered quietly, tugging the collar of her shirt up quietly to make sure her tattoos weren't in view. She was somewhat self-conscious of them. They led to conversations, and conversations rarely ended well for her.

Dante gave her some kind of exasperated look. "No. Youre Never too old." He sighed, and tapped his fingers on his hips lightly, contemplating an offer. After a moment he finally spoke. "I have time since a lot of the horses are out. Do you want me to get you on one?" He asked, slightly squinting. He wanted to get closer cuz he felt a little far away but she didn't seem to like that much.

Elowyn raised her hands in sarcastic surrender. "Excuse me and my ignorance then." She huffed, turning to face him. She watched his fingers drum against his hips rather than look at his eyes or face, gently folding her arms in front of her again and leaning back against the stall. She narrowed her eyes at him for his offer, shifting on her feet and finally bringing her gaze to his face. "I'd hate to take time out of your schedule." She said dismissively, shaking her head and turning around again. It wasn't that she didn't want to- the idea appealed to her a lot, really. She just hated the idea of feeling inferior- being taught something from scratch by an employee. The possibility for embarrassment seemed a bit too high for her liking.

Dante didn't like all of the awkward staring, she was so quiet, nothing like most of the people he knew. Half starting to wonder if thats what all people from the city were like. Her quick contradiction felt like a lie. "Pick one and lets brush 'em. No ridin' unless you want to. Just brushin'." He bargained after a second of contemplation.
