Dallas raised his eyebrows at her answer, giving her quick up-down look. He had been friends with a few kids from Riverside in High School- most of them were a bit pretentious and definitely a little snobby, but nice enough. "Oh. I grew up in downtown." He let out a light laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "What was it like growing up there?" He asked quietly.

Robin sighed softly, looking up at the sky once again. "It was... nice. Probabaly like you'd expect, snobby, rich, parties." She shrugs. "I took life for granted, then I lost it all." She cursed herself out in her mind. "Sorry, random trauma dump." She apologized, looking over at him once again.

Dallas laid back, clasping his hands behind his head and watching her as she spoke. His head lolled to rest on his bicep as he watched her, his eyebrows lifting very slightly. He let out a short, rusty laugh as she finished, shaking his head and looking back at the sky. "Nah, it's fine. I kind of asked for it. Either way, I could never have lasted that long in that neighborhood. All the fake smiles, the false pretenses, the rumors. It was like something out of a novel." He snorted, giving a sigh afterward. "Sorry if that was insensitive." He added.

She shrugged. "Nah, it's true is what it was. I can not tell you how often I was paid to be someones friend or go to a party." She shakes her head sadly. "Half the time you couldn't even tell who was real and who was fake. At some point I just... stopped trying to get people to like." She shrugs weakly. Then blinked. "Jesus, what's with me and trauma dumping?" She said lightly, shaking her head in amusement.

"Ouch. Being bribed for friendship is a whole new status level." Dallas huffed sarcastically, continuing to look at the sky as she spoke. He still listened intently to her words, nodding lightly along. "I mean, isn't that life? Er- wasn't that life, before all this? Trying to wind your way through a society of real and unreal? But I have to say, that's a better reaction than you might've given." He muttered. He shook his head and chuckled at her, glancing over again. "It's just my warm, therapeutic nature." He said mockingly, raising up on his arm to give her a teasing look.

Robin snickered. "Cocky much." She said, standing up and stretching her back, looking off the edge of the building. "Did you know how to shoot a gun before the apocalpyse? I didn't, had to teach myself." She hummed, looking at him and smiling slightly.

"Oh, always." Dallas snickered, suddenly exuding his confidence a little more brashly. It was nice, not only to be able to talk to someone, but someone his age. It made him feel like his biggest worries were which of his options he would ask to prom, or how much he would have to study for an English exam. Until her next question. He shrugged faintly, not perturbed by it. "I did. My dad taught me to hunt when I was younger. I never liked it all that much, but using the gun was fine. If it wasn't used on something." He said lightly, standing as she stood and moving to the edge of the building. "Mm. Did you get a hang of it? Does your form suck?" He joked, nudging her softly with his elbow.

Robin elbowed him back. "Rude and no, I'm not horrible at it." She said, continuing to look over the broken, run down city. She shook her head and looked around the ground, seeing zombies everywhere, per usual. Robin stayed quiet, not really sure what to ask. "I wonder if there are more people out there." She said suddenly. She blinked. "Sorry, did not mean to say that." She apologized again, backing away from the ledge and sitting down in a chair, rubbing her head. Thinking of a way to go get some more food and supplies from nearby homes and or stores.

Dallas made a pitiful "AH" noise when she elbowed him, as if he had been stabbed and not gently poked. He dramatically flailed his hands as if he was losing balance before he righted himself, glaring over at her fairly and hopping back from the ledge. "I could have fallen. That's what I call rude." He huffed mockingly, a smirk on his face as he knelt down to pet his dog. He raised his eyebrows up at her for the question, tilting his head. "I'm sure there are somewhere. We can't possibly be the last two on earth." He shrugged, giving her a confused look as she apologized again. "Stop apologizing." It was an order, a kind of demand. Like he was used to telling people what to do and them listening. His tone had been gruff, but he blinked after a moment, clearing his throat. "Please." He added, looking off at the horizon quietly.

She huffs and looks at him shrugging. "I doubt I will," She grins. "Sorry." She said, standing up and walking over to a small, work bench looking area. She starts grabbing things and putting certain things on. Gloves, knee gaurds and elbow gaurds over her sweat pants and hoodie. She wasn't going for hot or sexy, she was going for practical and what would keep her alive. She looked at Dallas. "You going to come with me? I need to pick up a bit more suppies and explore more rooms." She said, turning back to the bench.
