Kennedy sighed slightly hearing her question, not that he thought it was rude but jsut the fact that he hated talking about his father. He turned to face her ans couldn't help but hold back a snort at her red face. "No it's fine..." He said before letting out another small sigh "I actually hate my father for the things he has done to me and my mother... So you could say I don't have the best relationship with him" He spoke quietly while trying not to get mad thinking about it

She looked up at him and listened to him quietly. She waited for a few moments. "Im sorry. He doesn't sound like avery nice man. Is your mother better?

He nodded as he went back to the hedges finishing them up so that his hands and mind were still focused on something. "He was not at all... And yes my mother is better now, she sustained a lot of injuries from him but all of those have healed and she is doing better now without him here" He said in a quiet tone but his face was soft as he talked about his mother

"She sounds very nice. Im glad you're both doing better now." She looked down at her hands, fidgeting with them nervously. They had gone quickly from her domain of speech to being serious- not her forte.

"She is very nice... And thanks I'm glad we both are too" He said softly as he picked up the rest of the clippings off the ground and tossed them in the bin. He was now covered in sweat which wasn't really bad but just uncomfortable, not like he had been doing a lot of heavy lifting but it was quite hot out. He wiped the sweat from his head then rolled up his sleeves revealing scars that painted his arms lightly "So where should I discard of the clippings?" He asked glancing over at her

She lifted her eyebrows and walked over, glancing at his arms. Questions for another time. "Theres a burn pile out back of the shed. Do you remember how to get there?"

Kennedy watched her expression then followed her gaze down to his arms which he kind of just crossed them to cover what scares there were "Uh... Yes..." He said very slowly while looking over in the direction he thought the shed would be if he headed that way

"Okay! I'll see you soon." She smiled, turning around and leaving about as adruptly as she had appeared. She made her way back into the castle and down into the laundry room. She wandered around until she found a basket filled with clean towels. She grabbed one of the cooler ones and went to the kitchens for a glass of cold water. She then made her way back outside to meet him at the shed.

Kennedy tilted his head at her abrupt answer "Dang I know you hate me but why leave so soon" He teased as she walked away. As soon as she disappeared he sighed and picked up the now heavy bin full of clippings "Man this bin shouldn't be this heavy... They really need to keep up on these hedges" He huffed to himself as he started to walk in the direction of the shed. Admittedly it took him awhile to get there as he got lost and twisted around in the maze of the gardens but eventually he ended up at the shed where he found the burn pile and added the clippings to it

She ran up to him happily. "I'm back!" She smiled, holding up the towel for him. "For you, and also for you." She offered him the glass of water. "It must have been horrible without me, im sure."
