Azar grumbled as the hunters pet over him, the only real reason for their attention being returned to the other wolf was the Hounds still frantic barking. At that point the hunters called quits, assuming the wolf they'd been being led to had been him. Once they left he turned back to the den, sniffing around outside of it until he caught the scent of the male wolf and followed it. The wolf's coat was obvious, but his limping was a whole other story that made Azar want to whimper as he followed along, not necessarily trying to be quiet as he stalked after the other wolf, but not trying to interact either. He wasn't trying to get into a fight again, seen as he probably would have to actually finish off this wolf if he did.

Aether continued his way through the forest, ending up in the plains close to where he had fought that wolf, He was trying to find his den but his memory was so fuzzy it was hard to remember, The pain only grew worse as he attempted to walk, A blood trail followed after him, As the leaf only stopped a bit of it, But he was losing a dangerous amount of blood any time now...That's when Aether's vision went blurry and he could feel himself becoming dizzy, Stopping dead in his tracks he remained there for a second before collapsing.

Azar's ears perked at the sound of the wolf collapsing, rushing to see what had happened.
He actually did let out a whimper this time as he frantically picked at the wolf's muzzle, only successfully doing nothing at all. With a heavy heart, Azar carefully took the wolf's neck into his maw, tugging at it as gently as possible as he dragged it to his pack, that he could smell was near. "That wolf is not permitted to enter." Growled one of the alphas, Zara. Azar snarled at her as she got closer, startling her into backing away. Really, Azar could be an alpha if he tried hard enough to climb the ranks, but he didn't like confrontation. He didn't like having all eyes on him, even though they were now. " He's injured. Don't be cruel." He growled, hovering protectively over Aether's somewhat limp body as the alpha snapped at him, making him tense and show his own canines. " He tried to kill you, did he not? So what if he dies! He deserves to." Zara refuted, other wolves agreeing quickly.
Azar was just about to lunge at the female when another wolf stepped in front of him, a purely white wolf who Azar knew was an omega but didn't stick around long enough to know his name. " I'll help you heal him." Was all the wolf said before turning away, stunning Azar, who paused before shaking his head and grabbing Aether to drag him into a dig out den filled with herbs and leaves. ( I feel like if Aether and Azar start to have romance between them after this the omega should be the one to always be trying to subtly break them up lol, or if they just become friends he'll just be slickly blackmailing Aether because everyone hates him in the pack )

(omg yes, their romance is going to be so adorable though 😭)
Aether would pass in and out of conciseness, From what he had barely heard and seen he was now in a pack camp, He didn't know how he got here, or why. He suddenly snapped up, looking around, He was in a den, The strong smell of Herbs seemed to overflow his sense of smell as he smelt for the hunters. Im alive? He was confused, His blue eyes showing concern as he turned back to look at his leg. It wasn't bleeding, and someone had tampered with it, Whats going on? He backed up into the corner defensively.

Azar had been lazing outside of the den with the omega, whose name he'd found out had been Venice. Venice had done most of the hard labor, as Azar had no collection of the word 'gentle' when it came to treating wounds. And when Azar had heard an almost familiar sound of claws Venice had been curled around him, the smaller wolf's ear perking." The loner is awake now. He seems frightened, you should talk to him." He urged, much to Azar's chagrin. Venice chuckled at him, his tail wagging slightly as he watched Azar lumber off into the den.
Azar paused as he saw the wolf in a corner of the room, snickering as he ducked his head, moving around a pile of leaves to reveal a pheasant carcass half-eaten. He nudged the kill towards the wolf, grumbling as he let out a yawn." Tried to go hunting and I tried to save you some of the elk I managed to hunt down a couple days ago, but I can't argue with the head alphas so I had to hide this so you'd have something when you woke up atleast."

He watched as the same wolf from the events before entered, Looking as pleased as ever. "I'm not hungry, I can hunt for myself thank you very much" He growled I don't want to be here. He looked away. "I want to leave," Aether said, He didn't have very good experiences with packs so he usually tried to avoid them but he always managed to pick a fight with one, Glancing at the entrance, he saw a snowy white wolf sitting out there, How was he supposed to escape now?

"I'm trying to help you, so stop being difficult for a moment." Azar huffed, nudging the pheasant closer again." They've already alerted other packs in the area that your deadly. The alpha simultaneously want to kill you off, to have one less threat to worry about, and I'm here guarding you to make sure you don't get killed in your sleep. So your welcome for even waking up today." He growled, pausing when Venice shook his head at him, stepping in between the two wolves to muzzle at Azar's neck. "I'm Venice, and that's Azar, but you two seem to know each other so I won't take long on introductions." The wolf said with an almost unnoticeable tick of his ears, making sure he put himself between the two wolves who seemed to not like each other." Regardless of what he said, you were shot and hit a few good times. Any activities done on those legs of yours and, like Azar said, the wrong alpha or the wrong beta might find you."

He growled reaching a paw out to gather the pheasant to him, Aether ate some of it, Not very hungry, Deadly, He felt a sense of joy in that title, Even though the Alpha wanted to kill him...Aether's joy disappeared as the white wolf came up to Azra, Aether didn't like him right away, Something was off about him. So he had been shot more than once? From what this wolf known as Venice said, "I could have taken them on easily." He snapped quickly, raising his head proudly despite his wounds, he would have been easy to finish off, Maybe he was somewhat grateful towards Azra, But he didn't want to show it, Not yet, Not in this- situation.

" Not if there's a wolf as smart as me, or as big as me, who happens to have a fetish or something for picking on hot-headed loners for the thrill of it. You can deny it all you want, but you wouldn't survive that and we both know it." He snickered, eying the wolf up and down for a moment before turning to the entrance of the den where a low whine was heard. From the head of it was a small pup, gray and stocky just like Azar, who made a low rumbling noise as he approached the tiny creature, licking its maw and sniffing it over.
Venice watched, his tail swishing slowly at the sight. It appeared that he'd completely forgotten about the other wolf in the den. Azar quickly turned his attention back to the two after making sure the pup had left, his ears folded back in embarrassment at being caught being soft." Let's pretend none of us saw that." Venice chuckled." Everyone already knows these pups are practically your own. I think they think their the only reason your still here." Edited at May 15, 2023 09:22 PM by Nebula Stables

Aether growled lightly as the pup entered the den, and then shortly left, "Softie" He snickered, Clearly directing that comment towards Azra. The only reason you're still here? Hes beta dummy, Of course, he's still here. And those pups' mothers should be looking after them. He wanted to argue with Azra so bad about his little 'soft spot' for pups, He got to his paws fully, moving forward from the corner he was once in. "So can I leave? Why am I even asking you... of course I can." He huffed, Shooting Venice a cold glare has he started forward, Heading for the entrance/exit of the den.
