She exited the bathroom, giving herself some time to think, So ive got a merman IN my bathtub... whos injuried. What have you gotten yourself into? She quickly snapped her attention back towards him, Walking back into the bathroom, She sat down close to the tub, Staring, The tub obviously wasn't big enough so he could be fully in the water, it seemed to just be enough so his tail could stay moisturized. "Uh..so...what do you eat?" It was an awkward silence, and she did not like that, Mal had already guessed he probably ate seafood... but she figured why not make conversation? it's not everyday you have a merman, in your bathtub.

He turned his head as he heard the girl leave then watched as she returned. Caspian did like the company and found it nice to talk to someone other than fish, who don't reply at all they just blow bubbles. "Fish," he says with a kind of happy look in his eyes as the conversation started, "sometimes sea birds, but they are too feathery and not easy to catch. What do you humans eat?" His eyes showed curiosity on how these humans worked and lived, despite the fact that he watched them quite a bit. He looked at the shiny edges of the pool he sat in and ran his hands along the smooth surface. Outside the storm finally reached land and the wind picked up greatly. Rain began to pour down and lighting flashed while being closely followed by a crash of thunder.

Malorie watched him, Scanning his movements, He seemed happy. Maybe he was lonely? Or as she thought earlier, maybe there were more merman and mermaids. Fish...noted. Mal wasn't expecting him to be so friendly, but she also wasn't expecting him to ask questions- well...maybe, the merman had probably only seen the bad side of humans. "Uhh...well everyone eats- different food." She paused, trying to think of the food that most humans eat. "Chicken...? Pizza...uhh salad, Ohh! My personal favorite is strawberries!" She smiled kindly, It was her favorite food, She loved them, and she also liked blueberries, raspberries, blackberries... she was a fruit lover, Malorie slightly flinched when the lighting struck, it boomed quite loudly.

He listened as the girl listed some food items that humans ate. He had heard of chicken and believed that seagull tasted better than it, but that was his own opinion. Pizza he knew as strange triangles with smaller human food on top of it. Salads he had heard from listening to human families eating on the beach after kids had made weird faces at it. But strawberries.. Those were new. Caspian tried to imagine what these berries looked like but every image he thought of didn't seem right. When the thunder and lighting started outside, Cas didn't seem to notice or care. He had lived at sea during worst storms, so he wasn't scared of the sounds. "Don't be scared," he says to the girl as he saw her flinch, "we are safe." He turned onto his side so that his arms rested overlapping on the edge of the pool he sat in, so that he could face the girl better. "What's your name," he asked curiously with a tilt of his head.

Malorie watched carefully, A bit surprised at how calm he was. Yet if he did live out in the ocean, he had probably experienced storms his whole life. She looked a bit more startled when he told her not to be afraid, That was somewhat reassuring though.. she eased herself. But that's when he asked a question What's your name? This wasn't what she'd expected she'd be doing out here, She thought that she would study marine animals..well, this- merman, was half marine right? Malorie sighed, She looked up Slightly smiling. "It's Malorie, I go by Mal for short," She paused, "What's your name?" Mal asked, Might as well try to get to know him, as he'd probably be here for a while

Caspian smiled happily seeing the human calm down. He readjusted his tail so that it was a different angle to the pool he sat in. When told the girl's name he smiled some, happy to know what to call her now. 'Malorie,' he thinks, 'that's a nice name. And Mal is a good shortened version of it.' When asked his own Cas barely had to hesitate. "I'm Caspian," he says while still smiling, "but it's Cas for short. Nice to meet you Malorie!" His golden eyes gleamed from happiness seeing that he had a human friend to talk to. Well.. That is if they could be classified as friends yet. Outside the storm's winds howled as they blew against and around the cabin and rain pounded against it as well. The waves by the ocean swept up onto the shore in all sorts of sizes and washed items out from sea and took items with it as it retreated.

She looked away for a moment But turned just in time to see his smile. Hm. Caspian-Cas also has a shortened version. Mal had never heard that name before, but she supposed that many merman and mermaids had unique names. "Nice to meet you Cas." She said, getting up from the floor. "Im going to uh-head to bed, I guess you'll just sleep here?" She didn't know how sleeping even worked for Cas, But that cold water seemed to have exhausted her, So with a quick wave of 'bye' knowing he probably didn't know what it meant. Malorie headed over to her bedroom that lay close to the bathroom Cas was in, She plunged into her bed, too tired to even put on different clothes.

He listened as Mal said that she was heading to bed and nodded at her question. "I'm not going anywhere, trust me," he says with a small chuckle, "good night." Cas then watches as Malorie then leaves the room and listens as her footsteps leave. He then sighs and slides a bit further into the water to hydrate his skin. He then stayed under the water as he listened to the storm outside, closing his eyes as he relaxed. He noticed that the water was almost reaching the top edges of the pool and looked toward where the metal lever Malorie had turned earlier was at. He turned himself and turned the lever until water stopped falling out of the metal pipe thing in the wall. He then curled up in a sleeping position and slid fully underneath the water. The smooth sides were strange to his body, but Caspian was still able to relax despite the raging storm outside. He hoped that the storm would be gone by morning and that he could return to the sea then. The yellowish part on the underside of his tail emitted a very faint glow as he slept and his tail swayed slightly.

Malorie awoke to the slightest sound of a seagull flying by, Sitting up in her bed, She took a minute to process what happened yesterday. Right, I have a merman, in my bathroom...She quickly changed clothes, throwing on a beige- hoodie and black shorts, Her hair seemed to be fine as she looked in the mirror, Yawning, She walked out of her room and into the kitchen towards her coffee maker. Grabbing a mug, she placed it on the tray and let the coffee dispense itself, the smell was quite strong as she leaned back. After almost spilling it, she grabbed the mug, drinking it very carefully as she entered the bathroom to wake Caspian up so this.. weird- interaction, could be over with,

Caspian had awoken at the crack of dawn and was feeling hungry. It had taken him a moment to remember where he was and sighed some as he examined his wounds. They seemed a lot better than they were last night, so that was good. He wished to be able to go hunting but obviously couldn't since he was in this pool inside of Malorie's cabin. After a while a strange smell drifted into his nose and he pinpointed that it was coming from outside of the room. He watched the doorway until Malorie came in with a strange object in her hand. The air around her smelled of this weird substance and he tilted his head some as he examined the item that she held that seemed to be emitting the fragrance. "What is that," Caspian asks in a polite tone as he points to the object in her hand. His golden eyes shone in the morning sunlight as it gleamed through a window, but they didn't glow due to it not being dark out.
