"Well to be honest I'll either keep it or give it back depending on the value of it," he says to Brooklyn as she asks about the necklace, "if it's expensive then I'll keep it if not then I'll return it to you. It will do me no good if I can't get money off of it." He chuckled slightly at her mention of taking off her clothes as a possible payment. Sure part of him did want her too but he quickly pushed that side away and went back to being stern. "You'll eat in the morning with me," he says as he adjusts how he was sitting in the chair, "and I wouldn't worry too much on my cooking skills. I can atleast cook somethings. Just don't expect a five course meal out of me." Roger added a bit of sarcasm to the last part and his eyes went back to Brooklyn as she asked about the bedding. "Yes I wash it after every person," he answers, "I can't have their DNA on anything anyway, just in case I get searched."

Brooklyn was quiet as Roger talked, she nodded when she heard him say he would give it back if it wasn't of value, "Thank god..." she thought to herself. "Oh, I can cook if it means I will eat something decent. My cook taught me herself, and I'm not half bad at making French Toast and lattes." Brooklyn sighed and closed her eyes. She paused for a moment, 'Well he washes the sheets at least, not for the way I was thinking but at least he washed them.". She knew that if she ever did make breakfast that would require going upstairs, and she wasn't sure that Roger would like the idea.

"Yeah, if you get the chance to cook," Roger says, "maybe, and that is a big maybe, if you are here for long enough and prove yourself then I might let you cook some. But until then you have to live with my cooking." He felt his phone buzz him his pocket and looked down to see a message from a "buddy" of his saying that he was outside. He stood with an unhappy look on his face and headed towards the door. "Stay quiet," he told Brooklyn with a stern voice, "don't make a sound or anything." He then left the basement and went to talk to the man outside of the house's door. "I thought we agreed on this Mitchel," Roger says to the man as he barges in. "Oh shut it Roger," Mitchel says in return as he walks through the house, "you still owe me for when I lent you money and you still need to give me the amount back." "I'm getting there! I thought I still had a month," Roger says with an annoyed voice. He stopped Mitchel as he walked past the basement door to prevent him from walking any further. "I told you you had a month left last month," the man says, "your time is up. Give me the money or else I tell the other cops what your actual job title is." The two stared each other down until Roger sighed, "Fine. Give me a minute." He then walked off and returned a few minutes later with a bag of money. "It should all be there," he says handing it to Mitchel who immediately began to count it as the two stood in front of the basement door still.

Brooklyn cocked her head to where Roger was headed, did she really have to be quiet? What would he do to he if she wasn't? She heard two voices outside the door, two males, one was Roger's and the other one...? She didn't know but he sounded like he was a partner or something. Brooklyn had caught a few words in their conversation, "owe", "money", and "last month". "Hm, I wonder if Roger is in trouble." she thought to herself. She was probably being nosy...eh, oh well. What else could he do to her? Slowly Brooklyn stood up and tried getting closer to the door, to try and hear more of the conversation. And right when it was found to be the least convenient, and she was very close to the door...she stubbed to her toe. Letting out a little yelp (a little too loud) she hurried back to the bed to check on her poor foot. Edited at April 22, 2023 12:48 PM by Mystic Waters Stable

The two had began to walk away from the door when they both heard the yelp. "What was that," Mitchel asked Roger with a glare towards him. Roger had to think fast and soon answered, "I'm pet sitting for a friend. They're on vacation and needed someone to watch their pet." Mitchel gave him a questioning look, obviously not buying it. "Alright where is the pet then," he asked Roger as he crosses his arms over his chest. Roger did think this was a good cover up but when asked where the pet he was hesitated. He then sighed and gestured for Mitchel to follow him to a side room where a small dog was being kept. Mitchel was surprised that Roger had told the truth and Roger was surprised that Mitchel actually believed that the dog had made the noise. A car pulled up outside and a knock came from the door. Roger opened it to find the owner of the dog coming to pick it up. Mitchel slipped out as the two spoke and once both had left Roger closed the door and locked it with a heavy sigh. He then headed towards the basement door with an upset look on his face.

Brooklyn groaned, she had taken her foot out from her shoe, "Great! Chipped a nail." she rolled her eyes to herself. The talking had gone someplace other than the basement, 'I just blew my chance of possibly getting out of here...unless that was Roger's partner in crime. Then I would be so dead.' Brooklyn thought to herself. The girl heard a car door slam and eventually drive away, standing up and walking to the basement door she wondered what Roger would do. Maybe he hadn't heard her and neither had the other man and she would be perfectly okay! Or maybe they had both heard her and now she was in big trouble... then Brooklyn heard the footsteps they were coming close to the basement door pretty quickly and she let out a small gasp. 'Yeah, Roger heard me.' Brooklyn's eyes grew wide and she stepped a few paces from the door, 'I am surely...going to be punished' she thought, her heart racing.

Roger opened the basement door again then closed it as he walked down the stairs, the door being locked from the outside like always. He sent a glare at Brooklyn as he saw her nearby. "What in the hell were you thinking," he asks in a stern tone, "I told you to listen and you almost got me in trouble." His voice was loud and obviously upset on the situation. If Mitchel had found out that he had Brooklyn then he would had to owe him even more money to not tell anyone. Roger walked closer to Brooklyn as he says, "I give you one easy rule. One. And you have to almost get me in debt." He soon stood right up against Brooklyn, looking down at the smaller girl. "Now tell me," he says sternly, "did I or did I not warn you what will happen if you messed up?" His dirty blond hair was now messy than it had been from him running his hands through it nervously before he had came down.

Brooklyn crossed her arms and scoffed, "For you information, I wasn't trying to make noise. I heard voices...as a matter of fact, it did sound like you were getting into trouble." she smirked. "And I stubbed my foot so what was I supposed to do? Keep quiet? I don't think so love." Brooklyn glared at him before turning and walking back to her bed. She sat and bounced up and down for a couple second before turning her head to Roger, "What's my punishment hm?" Brooklyn knew she was living on the edge but she still asked. She did an overdramatic faint backward onto the bed and waited for a reply. (Sorry its a bit short.)

He rolled his eyes as the girl talked back at him and mentioned him getting in trouble. "Well yes I expect you to stay quiet," he says as he watches her walk back over to the bed, "you could have been so much quieter than that. You're lucky I had an excuse to your noise." Roger then eyed her for a moment as she asked about her punishment. 'She's really cocky,' he thinks, 'pretty brave for a cute girl.' A small smirk appeared on his face but he quickly made it disappear along with a few thoughts. What would he give her as a punishment? Not give her food until later tomorrow? Tie her back to the chair? 'Either of those will just make her complain more,' he thinks as he crosses his arms and looks at Brooklyn some more while he tried to think of a good punishment.

She glanced at Roger while laying down, "Having trouble thinking of my punishment are we now?". Brooklyn smiled, "Well that's good, I could get lucky and not get one. Actually, that's a great idea! We should do that one.". She scooched onto the side of her bed and slid off, walking over to Roger she looked down, faking submission. "Oh, one more thing...I will be taking showers here right? If I will be and if there is a limit I would like to take mine tonight." Brooklyn put on her sweetest smile and looked up at the dark blond man. "Still thinking, hm?" she wondered what time it was...there were no windows down there so her mental clock was all messed up. She let out a harsh sigh turning to sit in the wooden chair, once she got there Brooklyn sat and crossed a leg over the other and looked at Roger.
