She rolled her eyes and trotted down the river bank. She stopped at the edge and gazed at him. "What do you want?" She nickered, trying to sound calm.

"I'm not the one trespassing." He tilted his head, chuckling slightly. "So I should be asking the same thing."

"Then again you are a mare, so I should go easy on you, right?" His voice held a half teasing note in it, and he looked at the mare cunningly.

"Trespassing?" She asked, snapping it a little. "This isn't your land. It belongs to nobody." She said, glaring at him. "And what does my gender have to do with anything?" Edited at March 21, 2023 05:05 PM by KA Horse Co.

He shook his head. "Your right, I am a little slow with the scent marking, but technically this is my territory." His eyes twinkled. "Obviously mares are allowed to go anywhere and do anything, right? With the way your acting, anyone would think you'd boss a stallion around."

He added the gender thing in again, not answering that question purposefully just to see if it was important enough she would ask again. He shifted his weight.

"Your territory or not, I'm just passing through. I dont plan on staying"

"Oh, what a shame." He grinned. "Well, enjoy your stay." He sauntered off up the hill, thinking about what to do. This mare felt ... different. "Understatement of the year." He muttered. "All the others I come to cower and run, but this one beats my back off!" He snorted, stopping at the stop of the hill and watching the black and white mare.

He wasn't annoyed just... curious. He watched carefully, resting his leg by shifting his weight again.
