*Yeah I wouldn't mind

After warming up some leftovers, Finn sat down on the sofa and turned on the TV. The first channel was about the news, which he usually didn't listen to. He was about to change channel's but heard the reporter begin to talk about a jewel thief. He turned up the volume some and listened as they talked about the thief's actions. They then showed an image of the thief and he recognized it as Maya. "Looks like someone is famous," he says to himself, "good for her I guess." He soon finished his food and headed to get ready for bed.

(Sorry that it's not a lot. I didn't know what all to write ;-; )

Maya walked inside the apartment complex, not the nicest but it was better than sleeping outside she supposed. She sighed, walking up to the person working in the front, she explained to him she was there to see her friend and he nodded, giving her his room number. "Not to sound suspicious but what did you say your name was?" Maya heard the man ask, and she turned around, "Um, Miss Hetching, thank you.". The man nodded, she caught him squinting whenever she slowly turned. After a few steps away she saw that her friend's room was on the second floor, oh great, would have hoped it to be on the first at least, now people will have the chance to look at me, figure out r remember my face, she growled in her head. Maya tried hurrying up the steps, finding the second floor, and going into the room she read to be her friend's room. Maya groaned when she saw that this wasn't the correct damned room. But was anyone here...? "Hello?".

Finn heard a call from his door and headed over. He looked through the peep hole and saw what seemed to be a familiar face. Unlocking the door, Finn opened it and leaned against the frame, looking at Maya. "Long time no see," he says jokingly as he looks her up and down. He crossed his arms and felt the sleeves of the t-shirt grow a little tighter. "So did you miss me so much that you followed me home," he asks, sarcastically now, "or are you looking for someone? Because last time I checked I didn't have a roomate." He was obviously curios on why Maya had showed up after today's events. Maybe to opologize, he thinks, no- probably to get me out of the picture or something. Either way he wanted to know the reason for Maya's sudden appearance outside of his apartment room at this time of night.

Maya's eyes widened, "You!" she cleared her throat, how had she gotten to get into the apartment of a cop...? And no, not just any cop, why did it have to be h-him?! I mean...I guess it was better that she had run into him and he had recognized her than if she had run into another officer and they had recognized her. Maya crossed her arms at the man's joke, though she couldn't help but show a small amused smile, "Okay, first off, that's not funny. I merely got lost, trying to find...a friend, don't get suspicious, I was going to talk about...anything too bad.". Maya rolled her eyes, indicating that wasn't entirely true, no she had come to the apartment to discuss with her friend about the diamond, or whatever the treasure was. And where to find it....and how to steal it, but that wasn't the point! Maya put her hands on her hips, slowly meeting the gaze of the cop, "I shall be going unless you have to interrogate me.". Something side her kind of made her feel about talking to Finn, they had a "kind(er)" talk earlier when she was about to shoot him...yeah shoot him, maybe that wasn't the best move.

"Mhmm," he says listening to her explanation about why she was there, "you know that doesn't sound suspicious at all. I totally don't think you're hear to discuss criminal stuff with them now or anything." His voice was laced with sarcasm as he said this, which was a little unusual for him. He waved his hand some, "Now don't make me arrest you or something for being suspicious when I'm off duty. Just think of this as a warning or something. Run along now." He went to close the door but stopped for some reason. He then looked at her again, "Unless you want to come in for a few minutes? I doubt you do though since you are 'Oh so busy doing nothing suspicious.'" Maybe Finn was being more sarcastic because he was tired or maybe because he wanted to test Maya's limits. If she wanted to shoot him she couldn't as easily here than she could in the museum, since there were people nearby in the other rooms.

Maya gave Finn an annoyed glare, then her face soften to confusion. Had he just asked her to stay over for a bit? Had she heard him correctly? Maya shook her head at her own thoughts, "Why? Do you want me to stay?". To be honest, she wasn't even sure her friend was here at the moment, he said he might be a little late, 'Off doing something...important' as he had said on the phone. It would be a bigger risk of people finding out who she was if she stayed outside or in the lobby. She might as well...Maya's eyes had been on the floor for a while, and she glanced up at the cops, her eyes meeting his. "I suppose I wouldn't mind, it's up to you." she kept her gaze to his, okay...she couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. She wasn't sure about what she had said, but it was a bit to late, she had stated it plainly. At least she still had her boots...and her gun, in her boots, just in case.

Finn stepped out of the way, holding the door open, and gestured for Maya to enter. "Welcome then," he says in a slightly more inviting tone, less sarcastic. The apartment was an average looking place. When you first walk in on your right is the kitchen which has a stove/oven, a wall microwave, a fridge, and a few cabinets. There is also a bar like counter with four stools on one side of it. Nearby to the kitchen is the living room which has a large couch, two lounge chairs with a side table accompanying them, a TV hanging on the wall, and a decorative wall underneath everything. On the left is a hallway that leads to the master bedroom (Finn's room), the guest room, an office, and the bathroom. There is also a pair of sliding glass doors that go out to a balcony that has a single chair and a few plant boxes. "You can sit wherever you want," Finn says.

Maya curtly nodded to Finn before slowly walking over to a stool in the kitchen. She looked at the officer, one of her eyebrows raised, "I don't know how long my friend shall be...I can leave whenever if you wish.". Maya looked around the apartment and smiled, "How long have you been living here? It's quite cozy."...at least cozier than sleeping outside, your back and neck always ached after. It was a simple home really, though it had everything a person needed, a kitchen, bathroom, a bedroom. Maya sighed, sitting up straighter, the case she had going on now was...tiring, she felt she could fall asleep at this very moment...even with a police officer around. "And you don't have to worry about me killing you," she gave Finn a playful smirk, "I don't think it would be worth it, you could end up helping me.". She gave a small chuckle, she wondered it he had any weapons on him at the moment...it sure didn't look like it. Maya noticed herself looking Finn up and down, and quickly tore her eyes away, her face warm, it might have looked like she was checking him out...god.

Finn closed the door and went over to the kitchen and got himself a glass of water. "I've been living here for about 2 maybe 3 years now," he replies, "I don't exactly know though. I've been here since I graduated cop school and got accepted into the department in this city. Would you like anything to drink by the way?" He got out another glass incase Maya did want something to drink. He was raised to always be poliet to guests. Even if they did hold you at gun point a few hourse ago, he thinks. He would listen as she spoke again and one of his eyebrows raised. "How could I help you," he asks, "I'm not that high up of a cop plus I don't do any paperwork so I don't know what benefits I would have for you." He glanced over and caught Maya looking at him for a second. It would be my fault if I die here, he think, I was the idiot that let a wanted criminal into my home anyway.

"I would love a glass of water. Thank you." Maya nodded, then sucked in a breath when the officer stated, and asked how he could help. "W-well, I don't know, but you might be helpful. Plus, not that you'd be interested...you are a cop after all but I have been looking for a partner. In crime of course.". Maya blushed slightly, "And you might be able to help as a getaway, just saying. Or uh...I don't know, but you could be helpful. It's up to you really, or I could just ask around. But your right here so I just see it fit to ask you.". Now she felt as if she were talking too much, so she stayed quiet for a while, just looking around her, sometimes glancing at Finn. It could be fun, she hadn't really had a full-time partner before, which actually helped of course...
