Cassidy couldn't help the frown from forming on her face "I'm sorry, that sounds tough" she admitted. She shrugged "I lived in Georgia so I'm far from home but I don't stay in one place for long. I guess you could call me a scavenger" she admitted. Cassidy wouldn't admit she lived in a mansion for the fact she didn't want to seem like sheshe's floating. The mansion though didn't just house herself but dozens of other people who were part of the pack she was in. "I lived with my family and a few other families" she could share that much without giving too much away. "So, you were more like some wild child, huh? I guess if I knew you before all this then my mom would tell me to stay away from you" she laughed softly "But you don't seem like a bad guy, Sage. People judge too much on someone's past."

Sage chuckled and nodded. "The wild child. You could say that." He shrugged and looked over at the girl. "It's what I know, I guess. If anything it's helped me survive all of this." By this, he meant the apocalypse, fighting the zombies, scavenging for food and water. "Looks like we've both figured out how to survive. At least for a while," he said, mostly to himself. The girl was used to living with people. That was good ..she'd be more open to letting them stick together. At least, he hoped so. It was a good idea. One that a few minutes ago he'd never thought he would be thinking.

"Well, if you have survived this long then obviously your street smarts are coming in handy" she admitted and offered him a smile. It was good to have street smarts with an apocalypse going on and she witnessed how people who couldn't fight dwindled off faster than anyone else. It was her wolf side that kept her safe and surviving this long and she hoped she would make it much longer then just a few months. No one knew how long the apocalypse would last but at the rate they were going, it seemed like it might never end. Maybe everyone will turn into a zombie and no humans will be left on earth or maybe a greater force would come and wipe out all of the zombies before the human population was completely gone. Cassidy's eyes looked up at the ceiling above her "If you want, you can sleep first and I'll keep watch. You look like you need sleep more than I do" she laughed a little.

Sage chuckled and nodded after a moment of silence. "I guess I should sleep for a bit," he admitted. He hadn't slept for more than a few hours every night, if that, for a very long time. He could never afford to, and the nightmares woke him up after only a bit anyway, even if he could sleep for longer. But, he had used his powers, and usually the nightmares let him sleep after using that. But the girl was nice enough to offer to let him sleep first. He lay down and curled up in a ball out of habit, closing his eyes tiredly. "And if you're going to kill me, just do it," he murmured before falling asleep. He always looked more peaceful asleep, when all the worry lines faded and the scars were hidden beneath his mop of raggedy black hair.

She laughed a little at his comment. If she was going to kill Sage then she would have done it outside instead of going through all of the trouble to use her supplies to patch him up. Hell, she even gave him food and someone who planned on killing another wouldn't give food. It would be a waste. Her grayish-blue eyes looked over at Sage when his chest started rising and falling at a steady pace from falling asleep. He looked peaceful and now she could actually look at him without seeming weird. Cassidy could somewhat see some of his scars and she wondered how he truly got them. See, werewolves healed fast so they rarely scarred unless it was a very deep wound. She figured he was human and just got into a lot of fights. Cassidy sat up to keep watch while he slept and she would have to wake him later on during the night so she could sleep and get some rest.

Sage slept for a solid five hours, probably a little bit more depending on the location of the moon and stars when he woke up. He sat up with a groan and stretched before looking over at, what's her name, Cass? Yeah that's right. Cass. He crawled over to where she was sitting, wincing slightly as high leg scraped along the ground. "You go ahead and get some rest," he told her, shaking his head to wake himself up a bit more. "I usually don't sleep for long." He told her that just so she wouldn't ask toi many questions...once he had rested for a bit and slipped into a lighter sleep, the nightmares had plauged him for a bit before he forced himself awake. So, now he was up. And he wasn't going to fall asleep for the rest of the night even if he wanted to.

Cassidy stayed away the entire time I'm high alert and she didn't even lay down the five hours that he slept. Her eyes were glued to the locked door and she kept her ears peeled for any sudden noises except none came. She would get up every so often to look out of the large windows and see if any zombies were passing by but none did. By the time Sage woke up, she was sitting back in her spot and her head turned to him when he woke up and started to crawl towards her. "Okay. I won't say no to sleep" she laughed quietly "I haven't seen or heard any zombies while you were sleeping so we should be good tonight." Cassidy laid down on the floor and on her side with her head on the backpack. Her eyes looked at him "Night" she said quietly and she closed her eyes. Within minutes she fell asleep to take her turn while Sage watched out. Cassidy was in a light sleep though just in case Sage did try to kill her while she was vulnerable.

Sage nodded and shooed her over to her sleeping spot with a slight chuckle. "We'll be fine now go get your rest." He sat down, stretching his injured leg out in front of him. He'd have to stretch it out, use it, so it wouldn't sieze up. He knew that. It would hurt bad though, so he wanted to do it while the girl was asleep. (Sorry it's really short but I'm kinda busy lol)

Cassidy slept until early morning right when the sun was starting to come up. Her eyes slowly opened and a small yawn sounded from her. Surprisingly she could hear the nearby sounds of birds chirping and to her it was amazing to hear such a sound still. It was peaceful to wake up to. "Morning" she said in a soft, sleepy tone and she slowly sat up while rolling back her shoulders. "How is your leg?" she hoped it felt a little better at least compared to yesterday when he was attacked. Cassidy rubbed the sleep from her eyes and she stood up, raising her arms above her head to stretch from sleeping on such a hard floor. It was definitely more comfortable sleeping in her wolf form. (It's okay lol.)

Sage glanced over at the girl when she spoke, and gave her a tiny grin. "It's been better, but I'll be fine." He would be sore and limping for quite a while, the cut had gone into the muscle of his leg, and that would take a while to heal to where he could walk and run like he used to. Unless it got infected, then he was pretty much done for. You don't live out here if you can't walk or run, or fight for that matter. The girl looked stuff from laying in the hard floor all night long...was she used to being in grass or something? Did she stay outside? He wasn't sure, but he didn't feel like it was his place to ask either...he was holding things back too. She had her right to keep her secrets, neither of them really knew if they could trust the other one yet. That would come with time, if they stayed together. (My responses will probably be shorter while schools going on, just to let you know)
