He wandered around in the forest until he figured the sun was high enough to create shadows in the alleys. He made sure his dagger was sharp and ready and headed towards the town. He felt that if it came down to it, he could win a fight over food or a blanket or anything else he deemed he really needed

Ellie Finished up her chores, she threw a few things away and when the trash was full she pulled the bag from the bin, tied it, and put a new bag in. She picked the heavy bag up and took it out the back door throwing it in a dumpster.

Sage continued to slip through the streets quietly. So far he had only gotten in one fight, and he had a scratch down his cheek but it wasn't deep and had already stopped bleeding.

She closed the lid on the dumpster and wiped some dust from her clothes as she looked around the alley.

Sage heard a noise and slid around the corner. He noticed the girl he had seen yesterday, and figured he hed heard her taking out the trash. He figured it wasn't anything dangerous, but life had taught him to never go with assumptions. He heasitated in the shadows, wondering where he should go next.

She looked down the alley sighing as she looked back at the door. the man had hit her so hard the night before the mark was still on her face she rubs her cheek a bit.

The movement caught Sage's eye and he looked closer. He saw the mark and scowled. It really wasn't his problem, but the girl had been nice to him when no one else was. He decided to stick around for a while and see what was going on at her house.

She walked into the house to clean up after breakfast the man immediately started yelling at her as the door closed behind her. she stayed quiet.

Sage heard yelling, confirming what he had thought. He decided to wait until the girl came back out and ask her about it. He didn't know if the man was a father, brother, husband, or what, but he could recall the feeling well if being hurt by others so he figured since she helped him he could help her. And if by help, he had to kill this man, he figured he could do so easily.

Suddenly the yelling stopped, the man's wife was not yelling at her husband. Ellie ran out the door crying and wiping her eyes as the door slammed behind her, she ran through the alley wanting to get away.
