Kayla paused, not expecting his question. She sighed and looked at him. "There's eyes everywhere, watching your every step and always questioning you. I have 3 brothers, the princes, and they are......not the nicest. They're the reason I learned how to use a knife." She said, smiling softly at him. "My father I didn't see often since he was always busy with councels and ruling the kingdom. My mother stayed out of the direct eye of my father, hoping to blend into the shadows.
