Morgan furrowed her brows and just handed him the water and pills. Really, how could this boy have tried to murder someone? He was in such an awful state... she was surprised the hospital even let him out.

Caleb took the pills and water, quickly taking them and setting the water down. He groaned and winced as he laid back down into the bed. "Your dad find anything yet?" He asked with gritted teeth, really just trying to distract himself

Morgan shook her head softly after a moment or two, sitting back on the edge of the bed. She ran her fingers through his hair, her face still a little drawn. "He's talking to people... figures that if you already have scars from the woman, nothing much will come of it. I was there too... and I can prove it was self defence," she whispered.

Caleb didn't respond as pain flashed across his features amd he readjusted his hand. "Sorry for all this..." He said, his voice trailing off after a moment

Morgan shook her head softly after a moment, her brows punched together. "Don't worry, Caleb," she whispered softly, her hand softly running through his hair. She just wanted him to be okay, at least for a little while. For now, anyway. "We're gonna fix it all, hm? You and me," she whispered.

Caleb nodded with a wince. He was sore beyond normal and his lungs felt like fire. His arm felt like a knife was cutting it again every time he moved or adjusted. He moved his not-cut hand over to take hers with gritted teeth. All he wanted was for life to go back to normal for her so she didn't worry. She'd already done plenty for him and he hated that he had to be so dependant on her now, with his parents. "You're sure nothing big will come out of this? I won't be found guilty?" He asked, his voice fearful yet curious. He had a giant boiling pot of emotions and his anger was rising toward his parents along with protection for Morgan.

Morgan squeezed his hand softly after a moment, her brows pinching together at his question. They'd try their hardest to make sure nothing came of it all. Nothing big. Nothing that would affect his future, because god he had such a bright one ahead of him. She gave him a look and leaned in to press a light kiss to his lips. She wanted to promise nothing would happen... that it would all be okay, but she couldn't do that. It was up to the jurors. He'd been to the hospital before his mother had gotten there, and Morgan had seen it all happen right infront of her. "I can't promise that," she whispered softly, running her thumb over his hand. "But we're gonna try our best. My dad will do everything he can, and I'll look out for you to the best of my abilities," she whispered softly. She rested her forehead softly against his. "No matter what happens, we know the truth, hm?" She told him. "And I'll always be here, just for you."

"What if.....what if the jurors think i'm guilty, she gets off the hook, and I go to jail? She's not the average woman, Morgan...." He said, voice trailing off as he began to panic about it. "Morgan, what if I go to jail and you don't want me anymore?" He asks her softly, eyes pleading.

Morgan shook her head softly and leaned in to peck his lips again, squeezing his hand. "There's no reason for them to think your guilty," she whispered softly. "There's proof - your scars, you got to the hospital first, and your wounds are worse. She put effort into hurting you, and you put effort into saving yourself," she promised him. She couldn't say what the jury would think, but she knew there was no reason for them to think he'd actually tried to hurt his mother. Caleb was so... docile. Everyone at school would say the same, too. "And you're not the average man. You've got this, okay?" She hummed softly, gently nuzzling her nose against his. She sighed at his next comment. "I don't know..." she whispered. She couldn't promise how things would turn out, but she knew what she thought now. She loved him, and she'd stand through him throughout everything. Most importantly, she knew he was innocent. She'd give her all to get him out of this. "But I do want you right now. I have no reason to not, hm? I know you did nothing wrong, and I love you more than anything," she murmured softly.

"I love you too" he murmured with gritted teeth. In whole honesty, he was scared but didn't want to tell that to her. He was scared of his mother, for Morgan, in case he was found guilty for false reasons, the list went on and on.
