Sage snickered at the girl's response. She was buying time....she didn't know what to do. He could tell that much. "Right," he hummed, leaning back against the tree trunk. "Punish me then," he snorted in a daring way, crossing his arms. He stared up at her, a wide smirk on his face, as she glared at him. Though, her kiss definitely caught him way off guard, and he let out a surprised squeak at the action, his face heating up about a million degrees. Well, he definitely hadn't expected that...but he had walked into it, he supposed. And....well....it certainly wasn't a bad kiss. He heard chaos and Sahara nickering in the background, no doubt laughing at him.

Once Sage got caught off guard... Quinn pulled away and ran on out of there. "Got you back!" She hollered before disappearing into the brush... she was really going to get herbs because she realized that they needed them... but she also might have been running away from Sage. Quinn slowed a mile from the campsite... immediately seeing herbs. "Darn it why couldn't I have searched for another couple... years." She muttered. Her decision might not have been the best... but she caught Sage off guard. Quinn picked the Chervil and Peppermint, slowly starting to walk back. Sadly during the slow walk back she had time to get embarrassed. She could hear Sahara laughing from here... Sage's face looked like it had been burnt in a furnace.. Quinn muffled a giggle at that. Then she remembered his squeak... and she hadn't even splashed him! Quinn shook her head, laughing, and continued back

Sage sort of just sat there there once the girl ran off....staring at the brush she disappeared from. After a few more seconds, he snapped his jaw shut and blinked, remembering he should probably breathe. He whipped his head around to glare at the horses, who started nickering...laughing?....again. "shut up," he huffed. "You're just lucky you can't blush," he grumbled.

Quinn heard Sage scolding the horses, and she held back a snort. She appeared from the bushes and walked into the cave, placing the herbs inside the special cubby she had found. She then walked back out, glaring at the two horses. "Are you upsetting poor Sage?" She asked them, then her glare turned into a teasing grin and Sahara nodded. "Good job, keep on going." She snickered, then turned to Sage. "See, this is what happens when you call me awful Mr. Speechless." She snorted, running a hand down Sahara's side Edited at April 17, 2023 03:15 PM by Wild Warmbloods

Sage huffed out a breath and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, now you and your horse are awful," he noted, though there was a twinge of amusement in his voice. "Mine is too, a bit," he muttered, shooting a glare at chaos, though the horse obviously didn't mind. Then he shrugged. "Besides, you missed out. If I was surprised you didn't get anything from me," he chirped, really just teasing the girl. Then he grinned. "Mayne I should call you awful more often, if that's what I get for it," he snickered.

Sahara snorted, kicking up a spray of water at Sage. Quinn snickered. "Hm.. I didn't get anything from you... except for a girly squeak and the look on your red face..." she mused, her eyes twinkling mischievously. Quinn's eyes widened slightly at his last comment. "How dare you talk to me like that." She joked, forcing her voice into an English accent and tipping her nose in the air. "You may not insult the princess." She teased, a laugh building up in her throat. He was mostly joking around because she was so stunned she didn't know what to say... he actually LIKED IT? That wasn't exactly the plan...

Sage snorted and crossed his arms in response to the girl's comment. "If I did that to you, you'd react quite the same way," he mused. Then he grinned and sheugged. "Well I'm a prince so we're pretty equal. I think I can talk like that if I do please," he chirped. (Bit short)

"I would not." Quinn reotorted. "You being a prince doesn't change anything... plus we both don't act like royals so... and you may not talk as you please!" Quinn rolled her eyes, obviously joking. She sat back down in the grass, thinking about what Sage said. It was slightly troubling..

Sage snorted and went over to sit down next to the girl. 'we can act like we're not royals, but we still are," he sighed. Then he gave her a crooked grin. "What, of I talk as I please are you going to 'punish' me again," he chuckled, really only teasing the girl. But...the feeling of her lips against his head stirred a feeling in his chest he'd never felt before. But he didn't think it was bad.

Quinn rolled her eyes. "Huh." She grunted, listening to what he said. Before he even said it she knew he was going to say something.. weird, considering his grin. "That was the best thing I could think up!" Quinn yelped, swatting him. She was just... trying to take his attention off that. Mostly because she was thinking about it. -WHY did she want to do it again... this was NOT FAIR ... BAD teenage mind...- she thought with a slight grimace, shaking her head. "I'm sure you would have done something totally predictable like splash me, so there." She huffed
