The nights had dragged him off, bringing him into an empty cell and tying him to a chair, ready to interogate.
 "Your Majesty you should..."
The guard trailed off, eyes running over her before he realized what he was doing and his cheeks tinted a light shade of red.
"head back to your quarters, a intruder was just caught, which has lead us to beleive he's with other people."
He explained, him and his patrol partner both participating in a deep bow.

Gale's eyes fluttered open, head pounding as ears rang.
 "Where... where am I?"
 He rasped, the officer chuckling.
"Wrong answer. Who are you with?"
He ordered, Gale looking at him questionably.
"What? I'm not with anyone, I live her-"
The guard punched him, sending his head flying to the side.
"Why are you here? Kill the queen? Kill the future king? Spit it out crimebag, then we can just hang you and get it over with. Or if you continue to not give us answers, maybe a whipping is more up your alley?"
Gale tensed, eyes widening slightly with fear. The guard smirked, kneeling until he was eye level with him and pulled out the coiled, barbed whip he had on his belt and ran it over his hand, somewhat admiring it.
"Might just have to use this one, ruin that pretty face of yours."
He chuckled, Gale's breaths coming quicker now as he tried to untie his hands behind him.
"N-No, don't use any of them."
He managed, the guard belly laughing.
"You're funny, real funny. What you scared of a little...eh, how do you say it? Fun?"
The guard asked, tossing it at Gale and making a large inscision along his neck with it. Gale yelped purely out of trauma, the guard laughing again.
"Oh this is fun, might just have to go schedule that whipping myself."
With that he walked out, leaving Gale in the dark, chest heaving, panic clawing at his chest. His cheek had already turned a dark purple, the cut still bleeding. His mind went into full doubt, a panic attack washing over him.
