Raptor waited until Millie tripped the animal, Then he darted forward and leaped, crashing into the buck. The big stag fell over, and Raptor grabbed its neck and held until the male deer went limp. Tyler glanced iver to Regan. "Teamwork is everything in dogs." He murmured, almost to himself. He walked forward to make sure the stag was actually dead

Regan nodded in agreement, calling the smaller of the two dogs over and giving her a bit of a fuss. "Clever girly," she babbled happily to the pup. She followed him towards the carcass, nodding again. "I'm thinking you're right. With humans, too," she told him with a chuckle, gently bumping his side.

Tyler glanced iver at Regan as she said 'with humans too'. He was halfway sure that was subjective... Tyler could imagine himself yelling at someone for startling the stag and making it run away. He cleared that thought out of his mind and turned to Regan. "Am I allowed to drag this back myself?" He joked, knowing she might get mad at him for trying to lift too much or something... he was fine. Tyler grabbed the front legs of the stag and hoisted it over his shoulder, taking the full weight of the deer. Then back legs dragged along the ground, but Tyler just walked forward, "C'mon, let's take it back." He grunted, walking with big strides

Regan looked at him with a cocked head when he asked to drag the stag back. She shrugged. She wanted to help, sure, but she had to let him do his own thing. She didn't want to try and control everything he did... and they were both pretty stubborn. She needed to let him have his way every once in a while. She watched him take a few steps, though, and rolled her eyes the way she normally would. "Are you sure you don't need any help? I don't want you to strain yourself," she told him with a bit of a laugh as they got closer to the camp.

Tyler looked up at the sky a moment. "I'm fine.. its old and a little thin, and not that heavy." He assured her. Tyler was, for once, telling the full truth. It really wasn't that heavy... and he wasn't injured. Tyler carried:dragged it all the way back, stopping inside the camp. He dropped the deer with a sigh, feeling his shoulders almost float.

Regan nodded and let him do his thing, having someone come over and start to skin the deer... it wasn't a particularly nice job, and they had a few hours until they needed to do anything. "I'm thinking we just have venison stakes. I can't be bothered to make a broth or anything," she chuckled lightly, then looked up at the tree he normally slept in. "Teach me how to get up there," she told him after a few moments, a mischievous grin on her face.

Tyler smiled at the thought of venison steaks. Yum... that really sounded good. He glanced at Regan as she asked him... to teach her.. to climb? "Well that particular tree I picked because no one else could get up it." Tyler started slowly. "The first branch is too high off the ground for anyone's shorter than me to reach. Sometimes when I jump even I miss... so it'd Be hard to teach you to climb THAT tree because even I have a hard time climbing it." Tyler explained the best he could, tipping his head

Regan pouted at him when he said she wouldn't be able to get up the tree. She just gave him a pleading look. "You know, you could just give me a boost, I'm not exactly heavy," she told him with a snicker. "I'd reach everything else," she then told him after a few moments of looking about the tree, then looking back to him with a hopeful grin.

Tyler sighed. He ran a hand through his hair... and that was it. Whenever he did that it meant he had given in. "Fine." Tyler muttered, walking up to the tree and glancing up to try to decide how to boost Regan up. He laced his fingers together. "Put your foot there." Tyler said, sounding gruff... but really being amused.

Regan grinned when she watched him run his hand through his hair. She'd taken that to mean he'd given in to her, which was getting easier and easier for her. She gave a delighted-sounding yelp when he said yes, and trotted over to the tree. She cocked her head at him when he said to put her food in his hands but nodded and did just that, though when she was chucked up into the tree she yelped, being boosted a little bit too much and having to grab onto the branch. She scrambled up to sit on it, a laugh escaping her as she peered down at him.
