He snorted. 'nothing much, just my oldest enemy taking deaths soul while I was in the throne room because he thought it would be a good idea to make her queen. And then we made a deal and signed a blood oath. She won't break it if she knows what's good for her." He picked Max up bridal style. "I'll be back, hopefully with a sane fiance." |

"Really? Wow..." Fate murmured softly before nodding "Don't worry your daughter is in safe hands." She assured "You go." She said ushering him off. When they arrived Roxies little student led him off to another room where Roxie was waiting for them "Lay her here." She said. When he laid her on the bed Roxie snapped her fingers putting Max in a beautiful long blue and black ombre gown with a crown braid in her hair, she looked stunning even in the state she was in... She was clean and dressed with some silver accessories. "There... When she wakes up she'll feel like a new women." Roxie nodded "Now... Do the transfer and let me know when she wakes up... It might be a bit I don't know." She shrugged. "But let me know... She'll be hungry for sure." She told him before leaving the room and closing the door behind her. |

She was honestly surprised Roxie had been so...not friendly, exactly, but not ..unfriendly. he shook his head and took a deep breath before pulsing and giving her the half of the energy she needed. Once it was done, he slid to the floor, exhausted. He had expected that, though, and nibbles on some jerky while he waited to give him the boost he needed. |

Shortly after he'd given her some of his energy the stone In her ring glowed brightly again her breathing was even and her chest rose and fell steadily but she remained asleep... The human side of her needed time to recover from the ordeal it has just been through. After a few hours however Max's eyes opened with a beautiful blue (yet demonic) glow. Moments later she was sat up in bed her heart rate skyrocketing as she panicked "My baby... Where is she?!" Max cried "Where am I?!" She cried looking for any sense of familiarity only to find none... Until she saw Sage "S-Sage? What's going on? Where are we?!" She asked "Where's our baby?!?!" She cried getting off the bed knocking things over and quite literally climbing up the wall tucking herself in a corner in both a scared and feral manner... When she saw Roxie however she kept from her corner toward her... With a flick of her wrist she knocked Maxine away "Easy..." She said sternly "Calm down..." She said looking to Sage "Calm her down you idiot..." She snapped as Max grabbed her head by her ears covering them as she sunk down into a corner of the room her ears being flooded with the heartbeats of the people in the room... Even their voices (including her own) seemed louder now "Make it stop!" She whimpered grabbing her ears tighter. |

Sage wrapped her up tightly in a hug. "Max, it's ok. The baby's fine....Fate herself is looking after her. Just take a deep breath and focus on me. Don't listen to everything else." He was glad she was awake...but he knew the hard part was still coming. He just hoped this wasn't all a mistake. "I know it's weird, but please try to calm down. Think of the baby and...and me. Think of us. Just try and calm down." |

Maxine whimpered doing her best to try and do as he said but the sounds... They were so loud in her ears it was overwhelming... "Its so loud!" She cried burying her face into Sage's shoulder. Once she could muffle the sound a little she did calm down a bit but she had to have Sage's jacket and her hands over her ears to be able to block some of the noise "What happened to me?" She asked softly looking at him pure confusion in her voice before she put a hand on her now flat stomach trying to remember "I had our baby and then..." She said her eyes searching for memories "Then I woke up here..." She murmured glaring at Roxie when she came over "I don't know what happened but you had something to do with it..." She hissed "Yes I did... I doesed your drink." She said quite proud of herself "Sped up your pregnancy... And used your boyfriend here as a distraction so I could steal deaths powers." She shrugged. "The rest Sage can explain." She smirked "After he explains you should eat..." She nodded "But you need to calm down if you even want to try and go back to your own life." She said leaving the two of them alone to talk "Come to the dining hall when you're ready." She said as she left the room Maxine looking to Sage for an explanation. |

Sage sighed and nodded. "Yeah, she did some crazy stuff, and then I did even crazier stuff." He thought for a second to try and figure out how to tell her, and then decided to just say it....going around the issue wasn't really something he was good at. "Long story short, you were practically dead, and Fate showed up and told me that she saw two now demons joining the ranks and that the baby was one and you were supposed to be the other. So...I kinda sorta....gave you some of my own powers and energy and now you're half demon." He shrunk back slightly, wondering if she would be mad about that. She wanted him to care for the baby, but he had left her at home. Yes, she was with Fate, and very safe, but Max could still get upset he left her. But he hadn't wanted to give up on Maxine...not when he could save her. |

"You made me a demon?" She asked her eyes narrowing "And you abandoned our daughter?! I asked you to take care of her! You promised me Sage!" She said shoving him away with a small whimper before putting her hands over her ears again. "I can't believe you..." She murmured shaking her head he promised... However in the back of her mind she knew if roles had been reversed she'd of probably done the same thing... But she was overwhelmed... She couldn't believe all this had and was happening. (We have bad storms today smh so depending on the storms and stuff I might be in and out or just offline period... I've been up since like 6am cause the power went out...) |

(yea the weather here is bad too so I'll be on and off as well, although if the weather is bad enough and the internet goes out I won't be on) Sage winced. "I know, it sounds bad, but Fate is the best babysitter you could find...no one can hurt the baby. And you were still alive....I couldn't just sit there and watch you die while I could be saving you!" He sighed and looked at the floor. "Besides, now that Roxie connected us to that ring, if you died I would fade and leave our daughter with nothing." He reached out heasitantly and put a hand on Max's shoulder. "I know it's a lot to take in, and this isn't easy. Those noises are blockable. Find a noise you like, like rain, and slowly put them into that noise until they're gone and don't bother you." |

Same) Max put her head to the wall giving a small whimper "Okay..." She murmured taking a breath trying to calm herself down... She was so upset and confused and overwhelmed she didn't know how to process everything... When he put a hand on her shoulder she turned to look at him turning and listening despite her ears being covered she listened to him... After a few seconds she pressed her ear to his chest breathing gently and trying to hone in on the sound of his heartbeat and his alone trying to block out all the noise. |
