"no worries." Sam said happily, jumping back up onto Nero's back and clicking him along. "fancy a gallop across the beach?" he grinned as the salty wind whipped his hair about him, the sky turning a burnt shade of orange now. He turned back to Ellie, smiling as he looked in her eyes.

Ellie walked along the path quietly until they reached the golden dunes that reflected the pink and orange sky. She was so captivated by the scene that she almost didn't notice Sam, but when she did, she noticed that she almost couldn't tear her gaze from him. "Uh... Yes, lets go." She said after a brief silence. She put a light pressure on Astras side before he took off, almost from a stand still.

Sam blinked a little, wondering what just happened. But before he could ponder it further, thy were off, galloping at top speed acoss the sandy dunes, Nero's head leant forward into the air, his muscles surging as thy caught up easily with Ellie and Astra. He snuck the girl a grin from the back of his horse as Nero and Sam surged forwards, overtaking the pair. "eat our dust!" Sam yelled jokingly into the wind.

Ellie looked a little stunned as the two raced past her, but tried to push Astra on a bit more. A small gush of wind few past them, making her hat fly from her head. She wobbled for a moment as she reached back to grab it before it had gotten to far, and held it on her head like she was scared to loose it. After another minuet or so, they reached the end of the sandy stretch, both horses seemingly puffing.

Sam inhaled and exhaled slowly, controlling his oxygen as they drew to a sharp halt at the end of the sandy beach. "that was fun!" Sam said, slightly breathlessly from the ride. He reached down and patted Nero's neck, which was slightly damp from both dea foam and sweat. Sam glanced up at the ever-darkening horizon and looked back at Ellie. "better get going." he said

Ellie nodded slightly, clearly a little tired from the sprint. Still, she offered a smile before taking the lead off back into the woods and back towards the stables. (sorry, short!)

(no worries!) Sam and Nero enjoyed a peaceful ride back through the forest, smiling and pointing out the different types of wildlife all around them. Once back to the yard, Sam hopped off neatly, and took all Nero's tack into the tack room. Once finished, he turned to Ellie "hey, that was fun, thanks for inviting me." he said, smiling lightly and patting Astra's neck soothingly.

(sorry for the late reply! Went XC today :)) Ellie gave small smiles and nods when Sam pointed exitedly at the wildlife and their surroundings, taking her own turn from time to time to point a couple of things out. They had arrived much quicker than she had expected, but she was thankful for the rest out of the saddle. She swiftly untacked and rugged Astra up before starting to lead him out, when she was approached by Sam, "No problem, thanks for coming. I'm sure it would have been boring alone anyway." She grinned beforw scratching Astras chin.

(no problemo, sounds fun!!) Sam smiled again as he turned Nero out into the paddock and watched him trot off happily with his friends. He heard his phone ringtone buzzing from his back pocket. "hello?" he said into the phone. "Mr Hanlon?" it was his father's secretary speaking. "i regret to inform you that your father has unfortunately passed away in a car accident this morning." Her voice was dull and emotionless. She continued to garble on about coming to the funeral and times and bla bla bla, but sam had stopped listening. His father couldnt just die? he was a businessman, strong and powerful and clean-cut. One wouldnt think that Mr. James Hanlon could simply die? and yet he had. Sam, strangely, felt no emotion. Just blankess and shock as heturned back to face Ellie, his face full of pain yet so calm. "looks like i'll have to go somewhere."

(It was! Pony doesn't like water though so we had a few legs in the air lol) Ellie took a minute to let Astra out into the field with Frost a small smile lingering across her face as she watched him bolt off to join his friend. She turned back around to look at Sam, who suddenly looked like he had saw a ghost. She furrowed her brows as she waited for him to retire the phone, but as she tried ro get a word in, Sam has already cut her off. "What's up? Where do you need to go?" She babbled out worriedly.
