Adrien shook his head. "You are quite stubborn love." He sighed, running a hand through his, at the moment, blonde hair. "... fine... you can go alone... but if you are not back, in- however many days you tell me you can get it done in. I'm coming." He said, glaring slightly as he removed his wing from Sage and wrapped it around himself. An anxious habit.

Sage chuckled softly and gave Adrien a quick kiss in thanks before grinning cockily at him. "Give me until the morning," he said. "If I'm not back by then you can come." Then he laughed. "Besides, my armor is made to look.. appealing. And I plan on coming for your expression if nothing else," he teased before opening a portal and sliding through.

Adrien smiled slightly at him before Safe disappeared into a portal. He dropped the smile and buried himself in the back of the couch. Oh this was a bad idea... his remaining wing was pulled close to his side. He was nervous... he'll his hands were shaking. His literal basically now boyfriend, just went to kill two WAY too high powered people... this was just bad idea after bad idea.

Sage had transformed into his war outfit as he slipped through the portal. It wasn't much...a sort of tight fitting leather knife holder round his waist and chest, and pants that looked like an ancient Greek sort of style. He looked like some kind of extremely handsome ancient warrior, he supposed. Of course, the angels didn't see him as he slipped into the castle, deciding to go for the brother first. He slipped into his bedchamber, swiftly dropping on him and sending a knife through his skull, leaping away and out the window before the guards could see. However, the king wasn't at his throne when he got to the throne room....which was admittedly an issue. Too much time had passed already, as he'd waited a while for Adrien's brother to come into his bathroom. He waited in the ceilings rafters though, for hours, until just as the sun was setting, the king sat on his throne. He grin ed wickedly and dropped from the ceiling, sending a poisoned knife straight into his heart. The guards all attacked him, of course, so he set to work, hacking through them as the sun set completely. Night. Now he was strongest. Good.

Adrien was sitting on the roof, smoking. He tended to do that when nervous. It was a horrible habit, and meant he couldn't use most of his angel powers for a day or so. But how could he not be nervous? His eyes were focused on the sky, the night sky. It was dark, stars shone, and he stared up. None of it made him feel better. He sighed. He knew Sage was well over capable, but still. He hoped they didn't bring in that sword. Sage would stand no chance... he took another drag of his cigarette. (The sword is a banishment sword. It can kill immortal beings. Which is why it's so dangerous.)

Sage was slowly but surely making his way through the guards. More and more kept coming though, and he took great care not to be burnt by them, which was taxing on his energy. He was sweating by then, and had multiple scrapes and bruises and cuts, but it probably just made him look better. He soon enough opened a portal and kept through into their living room, braid loose with hair flaking on his face. Part of him hoped Adrien would find him attractive enough to get right to bed....he could use something light hearted. But he also sort of wanted to do nothing. So he supposed it was up to him. Adrien had not sensed Sage was home yet. The smoke sort of... paused that ability. He set his head back against the roof tiles and exhaled some smoke. Stupid family... his family were a bunch of assholes. Well- they WOULD have been. If Sage didn't die. He growled in frustration. He needed to stop worrying- but that was quite literally impossible for him at this point.

Sage sort of crept back through the house, and when he smelled the smoke he sighed and moved up to the roof, popping his head up by Adrien. "I told you I'd be fine," he told the other boy gently, seeing that he looked rather worried.

Adrien looked over and immediately pulled him into a hug, wing wrapped around him. "You're a fucking idiot..." He said quietly, sighing in relief though. When he pulled back from the hug his eyes went down Sage's body. He raised an eyebrow, noting every cut and bruise, and how much skin was- not. Being covered. He raised an eyebrow, a light blush working its way up his neck.

Sage couldn't help but snort in response to Adrien's comment, humming slightly as he hugged the other boy back. "You say that like you haven't figured that fact out already," he noted with a soft chuckle, hoping to lighten the mood a bit. He blinked when he noticed the blush that appeared on Adrien's face, and he cocked his head slgihtly at the other boy. "What," he asked with a sort of chuckle. "It's only a couple of scrapes and bruises, I'm fine," he added again, just to make sure he wasn't getting worried again.
