Russ rolled his eyes. RJ "It probably won't get any better, been like ..this since he was little." He punched Nate's shoulder laughly. He chuckled and took a bite. Russ tilted his head. RJ "Ahh good ol' Virginia. I popped up outta Texas, got tired of the heat and moved up here. Bumped into this chucklehead's dad and ah," he hesitated slightly. "the rest is history I guess." He glanced at the bracelet on Nate's hand. And smiled slightly.

"Good to know he's been stuck with it all these years." Tempe grinned, about halfway finished with her food. "Sounds like a good place to come from. I probably couldn't handle the heat either though, to tell you the truth." She smiled. "I never went out of Virginia, really. Have you been a hunter all your life, Russ?" She asked curiously.

RJ "He's devoted I'll give em that." Nate rolled his eyes, just listening to them talk. Russ smiled and was giving her his attention. RJ "Somekind of family trade ain't it." Nate had finished his plate so he got up and moved to the sink was a dozen feet away. Water running. RJ "Kid's father noy so much. When I met him he was all out of wack, wondering what in the hell it was that killed his wife. It'd hardly been a month and he was rough. He knew what he saw but I pitied him so. Plus the kid liked me." He said in a bit of an appreciative tone. RJ "They'd all but moved in with me n' my daughter, he started hunting with me and soon enough Nate started to too." He smiled again, glancing over at Nate who was almost done, grabbing a glass of water for Tempe. Russ shushed her, he doubted Nate had told her any of it. And then Nate was back, he put the glass by her and sat down.

Tempe mainly just sat and listened, her head tilted in curiousity. She opened her mouth to speak, intrigued by the information. She shut it when she was shushed, glancing at Nate and offering her normal smile that she gave when he walked into view. "Thanks, Nate." She smiled, finishing her food quickly and moving to stand slowly. She grabbed her bowl and started toward the sink, too focused on moving one foot after the other to talk.

Nate was mostly oblivious, heard some words here and there but he figured it was about something private considering the slightly hushed words. He nodded with a smile as she thanked him but it faded as she moved off. He clasped his hands together over the table and rested his chin on them. Russ looked up at him from his plate. Murmuring a 'you alright?' Nate looked up from his thoughts, he'd been staring. "Hm? I'm fine." He said quickly.

Nate, oblivious? Nnneeevvveerrrr)) Tempe washed her plate quietly, glancing over at the table before the lifted the hem of her shirt to glance at her wound. She did it rather often, just so she could glare at it and then move on with her day. Huffing, she dropped the edge of her shirt and walked slowly back to the table, dragging her hand across Nate's shoulders when she passed. After, she popped back into her seat and raised her eyebrows at the silence. "So, is it busy around here in terms of hunting, Russ?" She asked, watching Nate for a few moments.

As usual)) Nate hardly moved as she put her hand on him, just to glance up at Russ, whose eye's narrowed and watched them. He turned his attention to Temperance, leaning back in his chair. RJ "I'm surrounded by small towns living in the middle of nowhere, its not horrible as it could be. Most a' time I get called asking how you kill some. My wrinkles are coming in so now I spend my time in the library." He gestured around his house, smiling slightly. RJ "otherwise its peaceful. I guess." He laughed quietly. RJ "How about you, been hunting long?"

Tempe chuckled at his answer, nodding. "That makes sense. At least you seem like you enjoy it. Peace is pretty nice." She smiled, leaning forward on the table slightly. She tilted her head at the question, thinking for a few moments and pooking at Nate. "Uhm... I'm not very good at time, but I'd say... six months? Ish?" It was more of a question than anything, and she was looking at Nate when she said it, waiting for confirmation.

Nate liked that it was peaceful here too, they could've gone on vacation but really middle of nowhere of Kansas is one of the only places he can truly relax. "I think so. You still need a lot of training, I still struggle to believe you can shoot straight." He cocked an eyebrow, smiling. RJ "not too bad. You got a good feel for the not so fun part of it though didn't ya?" He was referring to her wound.

Tempe rolled her eyes, giving him a flat look. "I was on track to be in the Navy and went through Marine training. I think I know how to shoot straight." She mocked, smiling nevertheless. She glanced at Russ for the question and nodded. "Oh, yeah. This is the first real injury I've had since I started, but it isn't too bad." She shrugged. "Except for the fact that that I can't do... anything that I want to." She huffed.
