He rolled his eyes. "Look, it's Roxies fault for making it complicated. She made Max go into labor, which started this whole issue. And now I have to talk with you because Fate says I have to turn her into a half demon or whatever, and apparently I need someone's permission to do it because Max is currently passed out on the floor of my living room." Then he turned to Roxie and scrunched his nose up. "You would look better in red," he muttered. "What good is being queen I'd he gives you ugly dresses to wear?" She looked fine, he just had to say something rude to her. He wanted to explode her face again, but killing his new queen wouldn't exactly make Death let him do this.

Death stood up "No boy don't fault her..." he hissed his voice a calm and scary kind of angry "YOU started this the moment you saved that little wench from being killed." he snapped at him "Had you left things as they were you wouldn't be going through this now." he said crossing his arms "You didn't heed my warnings then, heed them now, let her pass peacefully and spare her and yourself the madness that'll likely come from her being a demon, you and your spawn will be welcomed back into the ranks on a clean slate." he said "As long as the two of you abide by my rules there will be no issues." he shrugged. Roxie smirked "Don't pretend you don't love it Sage." she cooed in a sultry manner. Edited at July 23, 2022 07:12 PM by Polar Lights

Sage ignored Roxie and stomped up to Death and stuck his face in Death's. "You don't get it, do you," he hissed at him, eyes flashing with anger. "We will never join your ranks. You had your chance, and you blew it." He pulled away and started walking out of the throne room. "I'll find someone else then. You're useless." He glanced back at them with a scowl. "I thought you'd take the risk of seeing how this all played out...I know Roxie is curious. But I guess you're too fixed in your ways. Can't teach an old dog new tricks." He shrugged. "Oh well."

Death glared at him "Then you'll never see your love alive again." he said simply putting his hands behind his back "Only I can grant that permission you have nobody else to ask." Death smirked "Its simple... you join me and I will gladly resurrect her... don't... and she dies... and for your foolishness I will bury her so deep down not even you will be able to find her." he smirked. Roxie giggled slightly "You simply give up much too easily..." Roxie chuckled looking up at death and standing punching her fist through his chest just as she'd had her underling do to Max taring his ancient soul from his body "Lucky for you i'm not an old dog... I'm just a young bitch..." she smirked "What are you doing!?" Death cried "Why... i'm becoming Death of course!" she chirped calling the sythe to her. With deaths being literally in her palm it was easy for her to call the sythe to her giving a small cackle and murmurinng some words part of the crystals light transferring to her changing her... now she had Death's white hair and her pupils vanished "I'm the new Death now." she purred setting the orb on the edge of her throne before using the sythe to smash it the old death falling to the ground as Roxie turned to Sage with a smile "Now then... you were saying?" she asked as she casually sat on the throne of bones.

Sage groaned and shook his head. "How stupid was he? Did he not see that coming?" Then he shook his head again. 'you know what I want. And you can't deny that you're curious about this whole situation." He turned around and crossed his arms, glaring at her. "I'm not going to beg. I've stated my terms and I'm willing to hear you out. But I'm not going to buy any bullshit."

"He was a stupid old fool who thought making me his queen would pacify my desire for power..." she scoffed "He simply learned the hard way that you can't pacify me." she smirked "Like you said you can't teach an old dog new tricks." she purred crossing one leg over the other "My terms are simple... I admit my curiosity is piqued." she smirked "I only ask that you be the one to train Maxine should she not go mad..." she said "And you and your little family collect extra souls for me..." she said simply "Other then that... lets just say... you owe me one." she smirked.

Sage narrowed his eyes at Maxine. "Do you really think I'd let anyone else train them," he scoffed. "If you want souls in exchange for theirs, that's fine. But you're not my master. I'll be doing it because I choose to. And because I know you're a double crosser, well be taking a blood oath for this." Roxie knew the risks of breaking a blood oath...she would be consumed, even as Death and she would risk it.

"No... Besides I don't want to train your half breeds anyways..." She spat "And I want whatever extra souls you don't need to feed... You can feed but extra souls are mine." She said firmly before she smiled "You know me too well Sage... Fine..." She said snapping her fingers "The contract is drawn up... Well both sign in blood and then you can bring your precious friend here..." She said "I'll make the preparations in the meantime." She purred. "She'll want to eat when she wakes the best place for her to be is here." Edited at July 23, 2022 08:13 PM by Polar Lights

Sage forced himself to unclench his fists. "Deal." He took out his dagger and cut along his hand to get the blood he would use to sign and waited for Roxie to do the same before signing the parchment and tossing the pen to Roxie. Once she had signed, he walked out of the throne room to go get Maxine.

Roxie smiled "Deal." She nodded happily Roxie cutting her hand as well and waiting for the pen. Once she'd signed the contract proofed away and she headed off to prepare everything. By the time he returned for Maxine Fate had already put their daughter in the crib for a nap. She looked at Sage "Well?" She asked curiously "What happened?"
