Gale heard every word, wincing as the woman started to work on his skin again. "I told you i'm fine." He snapped, the woman not flinching. "'Till you're dead on the street with people walking over you," The man silenced at those words, taking in what Kayla had said. "I never wanted a kid!" He yelled, the words echoing. "All I wanted, was for you to be happy. Yet even after putting up with your bitchy attitude and how you don't speak for days---weeks, even---i'm still here. The same person who first took you, question is, where did you go?' Gale asked, standing despite the pain. |

She recoiled as though he'd slapped her, stumbling back. "Why the fuck would you care about my happiness when all I was to you was a pawn, something worth some cash. I warned you when the guards were coming and I regret it now. I loved you. You never loved me." She snarled |

"I did too love you, used to, anyway. You've changed, and you won't accept that. If anything, I wish I never took you and left you to rot in that castle, you would've probably been shipped off to some prince to act as a broodmare. Least then you'd be of use," He snarled back, voice rising. |

Try having your back torn to shreds, try having been interogated so much by the same king that you don't even know who you are, least of all, at least go try getting put in a ring to go kill people like some dog fight with people betting money to you're name." He snapped |

Gale hesitated for a second, flicking his gaze away before back at Kayla. "You think I wanted this?" He asked, voice a scary calm. "Let me get it straight, you think survival should be punished?" The man chuckled, shaking his head. "I should've known better, should've sold you off. You're selfish and care for nobody but yourself, just like every royal." |
