Gale arched off the cot, a guttural sound escaping his throat. His hands gripped the siding of the cot so tight his knuckles turned white, fighting off the pain. She poured antibiotics on his wounds, trying to keep infection away. The man was up for all of it, having yelled out in pain numerous times.

Kayla heard a distant yell, her head snapping toward the sound. She hardly breathed, waiting as the sound came again. She followed the direction of the noise

His flesh was angry and red, still lightly bleeding as she started to smear on a poultice. Gale gasped at the pain, attempting to crawl away before being dragged back. By the time it was finished, he was breathless, back radiating heat much as an open flame.

Kayla eventually came to a shed looking building and saw a cracked open door. She loaded the bow she was carrying and cautiously walked in, seeing the woman first. Kayla immediately drew the arrow, aiming at the woman. "Where is he?"

Gale was snarling curses at her, the woman just pressing a palm to his shoulder blade and shutting him up. "I'd rather you speak your mind rather than your ego." She murmured, seeing the door open. The woman didn't turn around, just kept tending to what barely even looked like Gale anymore.

"who the hell are you?" Kayla demanded

"Can't say, that remains anonymous to everyone besides myself." She murmured, Gale letting out a pained moan.

"That's what everybody says," She snorted, Gale's stubborness peaking through again as he tried to get up. "Stay. Down." The woman snapped, him doing as told.
