"Y'know, all you are to him is a pawn. He gets away with so many things because he threatens to kill you just all the time if we want to charge him with anything. We all work our asses off to come and save you from him yet, he always takes off with you. Just tell us where he is, because we know he wouldn't let you that far away---three kingdoms away from him. You're far too valuable for him to let you go. 200,000 dollar bounty on your name, yet, there are those who would pay extra just so they could have you. Only reason he took you was because long as he had you, we couldn't charge with anything otherwise you'd be dead. Make sense? He abducted you, held you hostage, and finally you escaped. Just tell us where he is and you'll be free, princess." The sentinel bargained, his words true.

Kayla felt tears welling in her eyes. "He's a lying bastard" she muttered, not knowing if she was meaning the guard or Gale. "He's in the woods. I won't come with you. He's in a camp. They usually tie their horses just outside the perimeter"

"Did they call it Chitwood? They use codes, to keep everything anonymous. Raided it a month ago, he must've just gotten there." He murmured to the other guards, looking back at Kayla.

"Unshackle her and let her go, I know exactly where this bastard is." He snapped bitterly at the guards, getting a team organized to go and raid it. ~*~ Meanwhile, Gale had been discharged, still not fully healed but slowly recovering. Where had Kayla gone? It'd been days now since he last saw her...

Kayla immediately left, heading into the woods. She was scared but had to warn them. She saw the guards saddling their horses and moved faster, feet pounding as she ran into camp. "Gale!" She called, eventually finding him. "They're coming, I'm sorry, the guards, all of them!" She said, panicking. "I had to tell you, I'm so sorry"

Gale's expression instantly lifted at the sight of her, though by the end of her words he was pale and wide eyed. "No..no no no no no no.." He muttered, slinging his bow and quivel over his shoulder before grabbing a random horse and swinging up. "Where are they now?" The man asked, panicking as the group emerged from the tree line. He looked at Kayla, torn between surviving or saving his pawn. Gale turned away, kicking the horse into a gallop down the cobblestone street.
