Iris's breath and heartbeat sped up against her will. She felt almost excited, but also terrified at the exact same time. But his gaze kept drawing her closer. It wasn't like there was anything she could do about it, she felt almost hyptonized. By now they were a mere breath away from each other, and Iris's heart was quite basically freaking out.

He reached his hand out, cupping her face softly. The man's gaze flicked to her lips then back up, closing the gap between them. Caden went to pull away, glad he had finally done it after procrasinating for the longest time and missing many opprotunities.

The moment he kissed her, the sort of spell over Iris broke. She had no idea what to do. She'd never been in this situation before. So she just closed her eyes and savored the moment. It was the best feeling, like she could sprout wings and fly. She knew that when it ended she'd be left wanting more. Finally, Iris pulled away and looked down at her lap, emotions she'd never had washing over her.

Caden pulled away, smiling softly before seeing her expression and his face blanking. Had he made a grave mistake? Could they go back to how they were? Had she not wanted it? He let out a breath, not being able to help the small sliver of a grin on his face from coming out.

Iris glanced back up at him and tossed an embarassed grin his way. The truth was, she'd really enjoyed that. But she didn't know what to do now. It seemed like that was getting more and more common. Most of the time she didn't mind, but when there was a consequence to her actions all the options came spiraling at her. Right now was kind of different than that. There were so many options for what she could do, but they were different. It wasn't the choice of deciding between them, it was deciding which to do when. So right now she just smiled at Caden and snuggled in closer.

Caden had a stupid grin on his face, chuckling when she snuggled in closer as he pulled her even tighter against him. "Finally did it, missed so may good opprotunities because I back out but... finally wasn't a wimp for one." He mused, looking over at her. Phew. Its a good thing she was smiling and not frowning, that would've been a awkward car ride back to the college. The man hoped she had enjoyed it, since he surely had. Sure, he'd kissed loads of girls before but... they never meant anything to him. But Iris? It was like tearing down a wall that wouldn't budge. His heart still raced slightly, settling back down to its usual pace as Caden realized it wasn't a mistake.

Iris just smiled, letting his warmth envelop her. She didn't know what to feel, but was fine with ignoring her mind for a bit. She felt her eyelids droop, and forced them open. "I'm tired," she noted with a yawn, covering it with her hand. "And I haven't even had dinner yet."

|
"You want some? I can have them bring whatever you can imagine up here," He offered softly, smiling warmly at her yawn. Today had been a tiring day, he'd confessed to a deep dark secret on accident, they'd had their first kiss, and now it was... what time even was it? Caden checked his watch, seeing it was 10:40.

Iris considered it, but shook her head. "I'm not that hungry. Besides, I don't really want to move yet." She looked out over the city, a wistful smile on her face. She had no idea how she'd gotten here but wasn't about to wish she hadn't. Accepting the offer to tutor Caden was probably the best decision she'd ever made.

He chuckled warmly, glad she didn't want to because he really didn't want to, either. His gaze flicked back out to the busy city, lights turning off in apartment buildings, kitchens, stores, all shutting down for the night. Privet closed at 2am, the bar being open all night and sometimes leaking into the early morning.
