He was quiet for a moment, gaze at the floor as he swallowed, providing little releif to his now dry throat. "Uh, he-my father, was um, really abusive. He...he abused me and my mom, and when he figure out I was going to do rodeo for a living, he went to another level. He..." Marco trailed off, running a hand over his face. "He tried to strangle me, then beat me until I couldn't move and-and that's when I saw who he actually was. Not some hero, but a actual monster." |
