Amy had let out a chuckle that sent shivers down sages spine. She only laughed like that when she was planning something particularly bad ...he did his best to move, or say something...to warm Elara. But he couldn't. It was all he could do to force another breath of air into his lungs. Amy had slipped around, grabbing a hold of his hair and yanking him towards her, where she placed her knife at his throat. "Because if you're still here in ten seconds, I'll slit his throat," she purred, batting her eyelashes at Elara innocently. "You're obviously sweet on him....if you care at all, you'll leave now, and he'll live. If not, he does here. It's you're choice, really," she added with a sort of shrug.

Sage wasn't sure what was happening, as he was nearly unconscious by then, but he did trust Elara...he trusted her a lot. And it sort of scared him. If he was wrong about her he'd never forgive himself. He felt Amy move the knife from his throat though, once the other woman and the wolf was gone. Of course, she had just moved to fix her shirt and stuff, and returned a moment later, shoving him into a wagon or sled of sorts and towed him off. He woke later back at her house, wrists bound and rags over his mouth and nose, which didn't make breathing any easier. It already hurt like hell. Everything hurt like hell though, and he'd expected it. He woke enough to notice the heavy chain around his neck, attached to the headboard of Amy's bed, and he just closed his eyes again, not wanting to even look at it.

Sage lay there for a while longer, not sure how much time had passed. Eventually though, he heard Amy storm out of the house, and attempted to sit up, though he didn't get very far before he crumped again with a hiss of pain. This wasn't good. He half wondered if dying here would be preferred. He was bleeding, he knew that....he just couldn't tell how bad it was. He definitely had a few broken ribs too, which could have punctured anything inside....it just really wasn't a good situation. He let out a small sigh, wincing as he glanced towards the window. Even if he could move, he couldn't reach far enough to get off the bed...the chain was short. And even if he could move and didn't have a chain around his neck, his hands were bound. He could barely breathe, and thinking hurt too much. So really he didn't have any options but to wait for Elara and hope she'd figure something out.

Sage heard the tap on the window, and squinted over in the direction of it, relief unwinding in his chest when he recognized Varys. At least someone knew he was there. He jumped when Elara appeared beside him, but quickly calmed down and did his best to help her cut his bonds. He examined his wrists, wincing when he noticed the raw and bruises skin there, but was still able to flex his fingers and such, so he supposed it could have been worse. He fumbled to untie the fabric over his mouth, so he could rasp out a quiet "check the safe for keys," to the woman. He added the pin to the safe, too, so she'd know if, but just talking to say that and pointing to the closet the safe was in nearly caused him to pass out again. He hadn't moved besides that...it honestly just hurt too much. He probably should see a doctor...but they didn't really have money and he wasn't sure how they'd get him there. Or to the cabin.

Sage had instinctively moved to move his hand to his neck when the chain came off, gasping for air now that something wasn't tight around his neck. It hurt to breathe, but at that point it was just nice to be able to take a breath somewhat easily. He let her grab his hands, though he did wince as the movement jolted his body slightly. "I....can try?" He wasn't sure he could stand up or get anywhere, but he had to try he figured. "You'll have to help," he added, shifting to get himself off the bed. He wound up pretty much just collapsing, though Elara caught him and let him slowly slide back down onto his knees with a groan. This might be harder than he hoped.
