T let out a breath of relief when he spoke, trying to calm her hammering heart. "Okay, good, good, good." She murmured, trying to look at him. "Yeah, well, someone should have predicted an apocalypse, yet here we are." She shrugged. "If you're in a cellar, that means theres a way out that isnt through the floor. So, hurry up and get out, if you can." She called anxiously.

Sage sort of nodded in response to her comment, though then he remembered she couldn't exactly see him super well. He snorted in response to her last comment though, calling up "no shit sherlock," in a somewhat amused manner before clambering as quietly as possible around. It was sort of dark, but he gathered up some cans of things, and rummaged around for a few minutes grabbing some frozen meat and such that hadn't been found since it was all underground. Then, he found a door and crept back out, dusting himself off and wiping off blood in an attempt to not worry T any more than he already had. He was scraped up and would probably have some decent bruises forming, but nothing was super deep or anything. Infection was probably the thing he'd most have to worry about. He wandered back over to T soon enough though, obviously still rather amused at the whole situation. "I think if we're careful we'll have the stash down there all to ourselves," he chirped.

"Well, I'm not the one who was dumb enough to fall through the floor, so I thought it took some extra explaining." T mocked softly, looking around and waiting anxiously for him to come back up. She moved to give him a quick embrace when he did, observing him and pressing a kiss to his cheek. "You scared me, asshole." She huffed, pulling back quickly and glancing around. She nodded lightly. "I want to grab some stuff from there while I can. Watch me." She said, hurrying down the steps with Liz curled close to her body. She threw things in her bag haphazardly, more than ready to get out. Surprisingly without incident, she scurried back up the steps a few minutes later and to his side. "God, it's terrifying down there." She muttered.

Sage have the girl a sheepish grin in response to her comments, a slight chuckle coming from his throat. "I got distracted," he admitted. "Though I did make quite a find," he mused after a moment, hugging her when she practically grabbed him as soon as he came back up, pecking the side of her head. "sorry," he noted."though I'll say it was rather worth it," he added with a shrug. He nodded in response to her comment, taking Liz happily and sort of just keeping an eye out while T grabbed stuff. "Ready to go the ," he asked once she came back up.

Tempe simply rolled her eyes at him, shifting her pack to get more comfortable. "Yeah, I think so. You wanna carry Liz this time around?" She asked softly, leading the way cautiously out to the door. She glanced warily out at the street, staying hidden.

Sage just threw the girl a slightly apologetic look before nodding and moving to take the little girl from T when she offered her to him. "Let's see if we can find a mattress quick and get out of here...I'm not a fan of being out in the open like this," he mused, moving to the door and peering around outside before creeping out next to T.

"Agreed. I don't like it either." T answered softly, leading the way down the shadows of the street. Her eyes were wide open, knife in her hand. She slowed to check a side street for zombies, taking a few moments to dispatch of two that she found. She slinked back to the street and led the way on. Within a few minutes, they were out of the town and into a slightly suburban looking area. She gestured for Sage to take the lead- she didn't know where to go from there.

Sage hummed in agreement with her comment, following her as she got rid of the zombies in the street before taking the lead himself and wandering through the streets carefully. "We'll go to the neighborhood close to here," he murmured. "Hopefully there will be a mattress or something we can find," he added with a quiet sigh. (Found it! Ig my response never went through and that's how we left it off lol)

Ohhh I see! I hate when that happens lol)) "Sounds good." T whispered back, creeping after him warily as they moved into the neighborhood. It was scarily quiet- but most everything was nowadays. Something about it sent chills crawling up her spine in an entirely unwelcome way.

(yeahhh. I'm glad you reached out lol!) Sage really didn't like being in the neighborhood....it was odd, and creepy, and it reminded him of all the lives that had been losst. People's death stories were written all over the town, and he hated it. And he hated having Liz there...but he couldn't leave her alone either. But they needed something to sleep on. He wandered around until he found a house that looked rather well off, and hadn't been completely ransacked, and slipped in cautiously, gripping his dagger hard. He relaxed slightly when he kicked over a can, and the noise didn't stir anythign in the house. "Let's get in and out quick," he murmured quietly, moving quickly through the house, looking for anything of value.
