Adrien raised an eyebrow. "Either I would have to take over, or Alexander's daughter. Who I've never met, but she lives with hr mom, not Alexander. So she may me a good queen." He answered before leaning back and looking at Sage. "Why?" He questioned.

Sage sort of wrinkled his nose in thought, nodding. "Because that's literally my job, babe," he mused. "I've been trained to kill off angel royalty. I was bred to do it," he snorted. "Why do you think I was sent after you," he added with an arched eyebrow. "Anyway, if killing them off would make our lives easier I see no reason why I shouldn't do it," he pointed out.

Adrien sighed and shook his head, resting it back on Sage's neck. "No... that would make it harder. If they caught you, you would be captured and probably tortured before I could help... and I really don't want that to happen to you. Especially since they can burn you." He murmured, his voice quiet, barely a whisper. like he didn't even want to speak the words into existence.

Sage pursed his lips slightly and sighed. "I've been in that palace plenty of times and killed Angela off from under both of their noses," he told Adrien gently. "I'll be fine if I go," he added. "And I want to be able to have a life with you where we aren't worried about our fathers," he added. Getting caught was a risk, but it was a slim risk. And it would be worth it.

Adrien huffed. "No. That is a risk I am not letting you take." He murmured firmly, his wing wrapping around Sage protectively. He was not about to let him go ad run through the castle while they would most certainly be on more guard.

Sage groaned and flopped onto the couch with a sigh. "So what, we let them just dictate our lives," he grumbled. He wasn't mad at Adrien, not at all, and leaned into him when she tugged him in.

Adrien huffed and pulled him closer, Mumbling to him. "Sage... that's not..." He was tripping over his words. He just didn't want him hurt... "Sorry." He mumbled. He didn't know why he was apologizing. He judt felt Sage was mad at him... even though he wasn't. Edited at May 27, 2024 06:48 PM by Oakwood Barn

Sage sort of sighed and shook his head when Adrien apologized. "I'm not mad Adri, I just.....that's why I'm here. I can do it. I want to do it. It's the only way we'll ever be able to settle down happily," he murmured. "I want a family, Adri. I want to be able to finally have people to love and who love me, even if it's just us," he added, looking over at his face.

Adrien mumbled and hugged him. "I want that to. But if you go, I go with you." He said firmly. "Sage, I'm not letting you go there alone." He said quietly, kissing him gently before pulling back and smiling weakly. "I mean- considering they cut off one of my angel wings. They would kill you on sight. Even if you can't die, that's not fun." He said keeping his remaining wing wrapped around him.

Sage frowned when Adrien said he wanted to go with him. "I was trained to fight alone," he admitted. "I can be in and out before anyone notices what's wrong of I don't need to be aware of where you are," he thought out loud. Then he rolled his eyes with a chuckle. "Oh, they've tried to torture me before. It didn't get very far," he mused. "They'd keep me alive until they decide what to do with me, and by then I'd be able to escape," he mused with a shrug. "But if that's the only option I guess you can come," he half grumbled, just worried about him.
