It had finally gotten to the evening of the event, and Matt very much..wasn't ready. As much as he loved going to these things, it seemed different now he knew he actually had to be recognised as a model, not just as the guy going with the model. He had vowed never to let himself fall into a career path that only really ended badly, but due to Trixi, he had, and he didn't have the nerve to get himself out of it. Plus, at least people liked him. Although for the most part, Matt had stayed away from the crime side of things, minly because he had been dragged into whole-day shoots and spending time with Trixie, the day of the event and the evening before had both been spent, well..taking drugs. Crime,, anything. He hadnt bothered to look for Trixie, he would see her later, and instead fell into his friends lead on drugs and various other crimes, which resulted in him getting caught-of course his reputation was now worse. He settled himself in the drivers seat of his car fiddling with the suit Stanley had pretty much forced him to wear, waiting for a response from Trixie, from when he had previously asked if she needed picking up or not. For the fact he hadn't spoken to her at all that day, he was feeling rather...hospitable. Well, for now at least. |

Trixie had been anxious for the few days leading up to the event, panicking at random points. She had been waiting nervously the entire day, and she figured Matt would be picking her up. He usually did, so it was reasonable to expect. She was about to leave on her own when he texted, and she let out a frustrated sigh, fiddling with a curl as she thought. Eventually she gave in and sent him the nicest possible 'yes' she could since she was... a little pissed off. She stalked to a mirror by her front door and adjusted a few of the long curls in her hair. Her hair was down and in loose curls, almost masking the amethyst earrings she wore. Kiara had picked her dress for tonight, which was a few shades darker than lilac, and obviously too short for her to be comfortable. But of course, Kiara assured her she would still look 'respectable'. She was in heels she was sure she would break her ankles in, and she was tempted to go change every three seconds. But she simply sat and waited, fiddling with her hands anxiously. |

Matt looked down at the message that had come through, somehow feeling annoyed with the dry response though that was only expected from a girl who had been ignored pretty much all day, and half of the day before. He didn't bother respodning, and instead set off towards hers, fiddling with the sleeves of his suit at every chance he got. Shortly after he arrived outside hers and had picked her up, he headed towards the venue, keeping his eyes away from her and firmly on the road. Though he wasn't worried, nor did he care, about her opinion of him taking drugs or whatever else had been visually broadcasted on the "crimes" list everyone was updated on, he still hated how large his pupils seemed to become after even the tiniest drug. Most of the journey there was rather silent, though as they neared he turned to look at Trixie, giving a weak, admittedly fake, smile. "You remember what you're doing today yeah?" he asked, his tone neutral. He was fighting his own tone when it came to not sounding annoyed over nothing, and that then resulted in him soudning unbothered. He pulled the car slowly into the car park, frowning as the multiple luxury cars in front of them, bringing out multiple random famous people. |

Trixie got in the car without complaint, getting more anxious the longer he was quiet. By the time he parked the car, she may as well have been trembling. "No." She murmured, laying her head in her hands with a sigh. "But I can pretend." She said softly, bringing her head back up and shooting him a sdak smile before she got out, gently adjusting her dress. |

Matt frowned in Trixies direction, hauling himself out the car before replying to her comment, slamming the door as usual. "I've told you what we're doing, i dunno how you don't remember" he sighed, staring at the rather tall entrance, well guarded by security. "Anyway, just walk around and let people take pictures of you. If any important looking people walk up to you asking you about your experience as a model, tell them and move on" he explained rather bluntly. His explanation made it sound as if he was pretty much planning to ditch Trixie for the whole night, except he wasn't, he was just slightly out of it by that moment. Still, that would most definitely change soon. He beckoned her through the security and into the venue, looking around at the large needless chandeliers on the ceiling, the gold accented walls and the many rich looking people. He turned to Trixie and gave a slightly softer smile, though his tone remained the same. "There's one rather large company here, they'll always be stuck right at the end of the room, by the stage. They're very..forward about wanting people, so they may aswell ask you to change clothes and let them take pictures of you to decide before signing." he warned her, settling himself at a table far away from the stage, his eyes following Kiara as he spotted her. |

Trixie shuffled uncomfortably as he spoke, choosing to stay quiet instead of try to speak. "Right. Easy." She murmured, quite put off by his excessively blunt nature. Even more so by the insinuation he wouldn't be with her the whole night. Well, he was allowed to be nervous too, she supposed. She followed him somewhat meekly through security, flashing little smiles at the occasional guard. She looked around in astonishment as they entered the venue, blinking in surprise. She glanced at him with a small smile at the fact that he seemed less standoffish. Until he opened up his mouth. "Okay-" She followed him to the table somewhat anxiously, but doing her best to mask it. And then he was watching Kiara, which improved her mood that much more. She glanced around the room, trying to find... important looking people, which she was no good at. |

Matt leant back against the seat and looked over at Trixie, shielding his eyes from occasional bright lights as the light reflected off the chandeliers."Is there something wrong" He asked, though he very much knew that was a stupid question. He'd not talked to the girl all day, nor was he being very talktative right now, it couldnt be fun. Still, that wasnt his problem, as of right now at least. He looked Trixie up and down, pretty much the first time since she had got in the car, and eventually gave her a weak, quick smile. |

Trixie looked up as he asked her a question and she shot him a quick, forced smile. "No, no. I'm fine." She felt too sick to spit something snappy at him, and she was in no mood for a fight. She shot him a slightly more real smile as he surveyed her, at least enjoying the slight bit of attention. "Shouldn't we be walking around and stuff?" |

Matt shrugged, looking over at Trixie for a split second before turning back to the rest of the people, rubbing his forehead in frustration. "probably yeah" he said quietly, though the general atmosphere was probably too loud for him to be heard very well. He couldn't exactly bring himself to look at her, it somehow seemed to..hurt? He knew he was leaving soon, even being nice seemed to cause him a strange amount of pain. And he was already feeling the physical pain from his accent, though only slightly. |
