The girl smiled lightly before giving a soft sigh. "I need to get going," she hummed quietly before reaching over to grab the boys plate, then slid out of the bed... though the cold air did hit her like a brick. She grabbed her own plate before giving the boy a bit of a wave and wandered out the door to put the plates on a small trolly. She then made a fast walk to her room and got changed before making her way up to the ward to get on with her usual chores. She wondered what the doctor was up to... she wandered even more if he was happy about the fact she'd gone out with Sage the night before, or if he didn't like it... whatever, she didn't particularly care... it was just that he was Sages dad, technically, and she kind of wanted him to keep on liking her.

Sage hummed and nodded, stretching slightly and humming "just come grab me when you're ready. If I'm not here I'll be at the barn," to the girl. Once she was out he looked over at Amber with a grin and picked the cat up to spin her around, giggling happily. He wasn't quite sure why....he was just really happy this had all worked out so well. After a while, he decided to go down to the barn. The horses had to be cared for, and he had the energy to spare.

Mari quickly got to work on tidying things up in the ward... plates, clothes. All sorts. The doctor had her clean up some tools, and remake a few beds but that was about it... she sat and talked to a couple of the guards that were still pretty injured from the attack... they all seemed lonely, so she was happy to talk to them a little bit and make sure they were alright... just so they felt like someone was looking over them. She got a list from the doctor about everything she needed... just a few new tools and bits and pieces, nothing much, though. It wouldn't take her long. She eventually went to find Sage down at the stables, a basket in her hands and a small smile on her face. "You need help with anything?" She asked lightly.

Sage was happy to march down to the barn and be with the horses, just as happy as Amber was to run around in the hay and catch mice. Well, try to catch mice...the kitten was still a bit too clumby, as all kittens are. But she was getting there. A grin formed on his face at the sound of Mari's voice, and he turned towards the girl with a grin. He shook his head, looking back at the foal he was checking in on. "Nope, I was about ready to head back. I just wanted to make sure our newest addition was getting on alright." The colt had been born the night before, but seemed to be doing well. "You ready to go," he hummed, and upon the girls positive response, he called amber and scooped her up. "I'll drop her off in the ward and we can go," he chirped, heading off out of the barn and down the path.

The girl cocked her head over the door curiously to look at the little foal Sage was talking about... it was sweet. She was still very nervous of horses, but she could appruciate when an animal was cute. She nodded at his question and followed him along to the ward with a bit of a bounce in her step. "I was thinking, once we've gotten everything, maybe we could stop for dinner? It could be nice!" She asked lightly. "And it'll get us away from the chefs cooking for a little bit," She hummed gently. It didn't bother her that much... but it would be nice to go out with him again, even if it was just for a little bit.

Sage hummed in thought and nodded. "That would be nice," he chirped. He chuckled slightly and gave the girl his normal crooked grin. "Anything to get away from Mountain Man," he giggled lightly. It would be nice to go out with her again...they'd both enjoyed it a lot the last few times, so why not do it again? They'd reached the ward by then, so he scooted over to set Amber down on his bed and pecked her on the head happily. The cat let out a purr and rubbed her head against him for a moment before walking over to curl up on his pillow and close her eyes. He supposed running around catching mice was tiring for a young kitten after a while. "Let's go," he hummed softly, watching the kitten with a soft smile on his face as they left.

Mari watched as the boy set the kitten up, a soft smile on her face as she linked her arm through his with a bit of a nod at his response. She walked with the boy and looked up at him with a bit of a grin after a moment or two. "You're like a dad to that kitten," she mused lightly before gently bumping his side. "Father Sage," she giggled teasingly after what looked like a second of thought. "Did she like the yard, then?" She asked lightly clearly very amused by the idea of the tiny litttle kitten running around and trying to catch rats that would have pretty much been the same size as her.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "She's kinda my baby," he admitted in an amused tone. "And just as bossy as one, too," he chuckled lightly. He nodded and grinned at the thought is the kitten trying to catch mice. "Yeah ....she hasn't caught anything yet but she's gotten close a few times," he chirped. "She still has the clumby kitten paws though. It's cute," he hummed happily. Really, the cat was cute anyway, but she was even more cute when she was running around playing. Anyone could see that.

Mari grinned at the boy as he talked about his little pet... it was nice to see that he loved her to much. "You'd be such a pushover as an actual parent, you know. If this is how you feel about a kitten," she mused as they wandered out the gate. Sage didn't have to get much... so they could spend some time here together. "She's gonna be a master ratter in a few years! Once she grows into those paws." She mused gently. "I don't have much to get... is there anywhere you want to go to eat? I can meet you there in about ten minutes, if you'd like." She offered with a bit of a shrug.

Sage chuckled and grinned sheepishly. "when I took care of Att I kind of was, at times," he admitted with a slight shrug. He grinned in response to Mari's comments about the kitten and nodded eagerly. "She enjoys it...I'm sure she'll clear the barn of mice in no time," he hummed happily. He shrugged in response to the girls question, humming thoughtfully for a moment. "Not really," he admitted. "I don't mind walking with you...maybe we'll see somewhere we like a long the way."
