Caden took a swig from the bottle and gagged, the liquor very much strong. "Damn, do not swig out of this." He mumbled, putting the lid on before heading up aswell.

Rose laughed quietly, floping onto the bed

Caden flopped onto the bed beside her and had finally started to relax when his phone rang. "Damn it, was just getting comfy." He mumbled, standing and grabbing it before going to the balcony and putting on a fake tone, sounding happy about it. "Hello?" He asked, the opposite line sighing. "Caden, I regret to inform you that, after all your years of hard work and racking in trilions of dollars for the company, you have been fired." Caden went pale, eyes wide, shutting the door, stuttering as he tried to speak, one hand on the table to hold himself as he spoke with a shakey tone. "I'm what?"

Rose smiled at his complaint, rolling her eyes and watching him. Her smile dropped quickly as she watched him

"I-I no the, the, what?After saving the company you....you fire me?" He asks again, still not convinced. "Yes sir, that is what I said.Now if y-" "The taxes will eat me alive why am I losing this job now?What'd I do?Please no, I have a-hey, no!They'll....they'll...." He trailed off, realizing the opposite line had hung up.He slumped against the railing, mind racing.He made millions each month, but the taxes had always been igorable because of the pay he was making but now?Now he wasn't so sure,about life,about anything.

Rose watched him, concerned, and walked out to him. "Love? What wrong?" She asked softly

"Please just go back inside, Rose.Please just go back inside and shut the door, just do it." He stammered, taking out his phone again.

Rose slightly flinched at his hostility but went back inside

Caden eventually called the CEO and asked why he was being fired, just getting told the same thing. "Well we've liked to make improvements which you're not capable of," And right as Caden would go to explain, they'd always hang up, leaving him standing there, hand falling to his side, mouth still open, face desperate as he hung up.Eventually he went inside, face down and slipping under the covers, turning away from Murphy and Rose and just staring at the wall, mind racing.

Rose placed a silent hand on his back, tracing the lines
