"Well you're alive. So that's good." He said cheerfully with a joking grin, then paused, quieting, obviously lost deep in thought. "Sophia..." He started then winced. It was just tingling or a feeling anymore. The emotion was slamming into his brain. "Ohhh I don't know. I'm the worst person with words EVER." He groaned heavily, putting his head in his hands.

"Yeah. Alive. And I'm going to be in pain tomorrow. " she looked at Zephyr. "Yeah?" She asked before he winced. She looked at him with concern. "I could probably fight you for that title. I can't speak half the time. Random things come falling out of my mouth all the time. I'm way worse" she tried to lighten the mood but she felt like it didn't help. "Like there. That didn't help at all" she sat up completely and put a reassuring hand on his back.

Zephyr sighed heavily. He couldn't do this again. Go through this AGAIN. And why would she ever want to be with him, of all people? He could tell she hated the looks, but they'd only get worse. He sighed again. "No, no I bet after this you'll agree you aren't the worst. And it helped in a way." He smiled faintly before it faded a little. "Okay, well, ........." ... "every time Iook at you I am reminded of how lucky I am to be your friend, and I don't want to ruin that or dent that or anything, but- I get this feeling- okay, - ... arghhh. Here we go. I like you Sophia."

"You mean you get the flutters too!" She asked, scared to venture that far out. Last time someone had professed that they liked her, she had rejected them and I went BADLY. She couldn't reject Zphyr, but she also didn't know if she was ready to actually go there yet. BUUUUT... she had thought the same thing about the prom and now they are goo- great- friends. She smiled slightly. "I like you too, Zephyr"

"Huh." Zephyr looked a little dumbstruck, like he had expected anything but those words. "Y- yeaaaahhh. Something like that. Wait- you?" He blinked a couple times, managing to look shocked and less depressed than he did and amazed at the same time. "Uhhhhhh... you're crazy, in a good way- one second while my brain catches up." He blinked again and closed his eyes for a second. "Wow. Really? Orrrr are you just saying that to laugh at my reaction? I've HAD that happen before."
| |
"Why would I make fun of you? That means I would be making fun of my self too. And why would I do that?" Sophia relaxed at his response. "And you should already know that I'm crazy" then she paused. "Wait. You've had someone laugh at you for you liking them? Who? Let me go knock some sense into them right now!" She grinned and looked over at Zephyr

"That's a first." He still looked a little dazed, in a good way. "I did, but I had to confirm " Zephyr chuckled a little, then shook his head quickly. "No no NO nope that's a horrible idea and I didn't know you liked knocking sense into people what is that grin for?" He grinned himself, laughing a little. "I guess that makes two of us "

She rolled her eyes. "You do it! Why can't I atleast joke about it!" A twinkle lit up in her green eyes. She rocked side to side for a second before purposefully giving Zeph a bump.

"Yeesh, joke about it all you want madam." He snorted jokingly, still having the feeling but it was much more settled now. Like it wasn't trying to kill him by squeezing his heart out. "I'm glad I spoke, even if it made little to no sense."
| |
"I'm glad you spoke too cause I know I would've just sat and waited for all eternity. I don't have those kinds of guts" she gave a slight shake of her head before looking right in Zephyrs eyes. His gaze was captivating, but she decided she needed to look away before she just spit out all of her life's secrets. "Don't forget to draw me tonight" she smiled. "How long have you liked me..?" She didn't even know when she started to like Zephyr. She just knew that one day she felt flutters. When was that day..? She didn't know.
