The man raised a brow at Lizzie for a moment, clearly a little unamused. If was fair enough how, how he was feeling. A bunch of kids had stormed into his room in the middle of the night, an entitled little princess had threatend him, he was one of the best doctors in the kingdom, and here he was treating some commoner, in a now blood soaked robe. He sighed a little before speaking up. "He'll be a little concust when he wakes up, which should be in a few hours." He grumbled, starting to dress his wound with a dry poults. "You'll need to keep him in a dark, cool room until he wakes up. He might be dizzy or nautious, or in worse case he might have a little temporary memory loss. I don't think it'll be that bad though." He shrugged before tossing a roll of dry poults towards Lizzie. "You'll need to redress the wound twice a day for roughtly two weeks. While he does need to rest, make sure to get him moving a little bit, or he'll seize up and it'll make everything more painful than it needs to be." Anya pursed her lips slightly, moving from her spot at the side of the bed towards the door. "Lizzie, are you wanting to go back to the village, or would you rather stay up here? I'm sure we have an empty room somewhere, but you'll have to stay quiet." The girl shrugged slightly.

Lizzie nodded, listening to the doctor's instructions carefully. Twice a day for two weeks. That wouldn't be that bad, although sage was stubborn and most likely would complain about having it done. She took the roll with a genuine smile and thanked the doctor happily before looking over at Anya and thinking about what she had offered. "Well, he would have to stay in a cave by the lake if we went back, and he really doesn't like small spaces." She frowned slightly. If he needed to be kept in a darker place, it couldn't be small or he would freak out and make things worse. "I don't want to ask for a room though," she murmured. "He needs somewhere he won't feel claustrophobic in, especially with it needing to be dark. I guess dad used to lock him in a cabinet when he was younger or something. He hasn't told me much about it." She shrugged. "It's up to you whether you want to set a room up or not, I don't know what would be best for him. We can move him now, right?"

Anya nodded quietly. She'd much rather have the boy somewhere safe than out where he could be jumped again, and staying around meant that the doctor could see him if it looked like things were going south again. Anya gave the girl a slight smile, "I'll go set up a room for you guys. I'll make sure it's a big ine too," she noted before going for the door. The girl scouted out a slightly larger room, with two ready made up beds before wandering back to the Doctors qauters. She peaked back through the door before slipping in. "You should be alright to stay. Just so long as you don't mind sharing a room." She murmured quietly, glancing to the doctor, who was sitting back in a chair, looking as though he were half asleep again, though was awake enough to get them out of his room. "Best move the boy now. When he wakes up he's going to be in a word of pain, wouldn't think that he'd want to be moving." He grumbled, opening the door for them, almsot in a polite 'get the hell out of here' way. Anya turned to Lizzie, "Do you mind gettimg the doors?" She asked before carefully picking Sage up in a cradle manor again. The girl speed walked towards the little room, waiting for Lizzie to open the door before slipping in and quietly placing Sage on the bed with a huff. "Is he likely to freak out when he wakes up?" She grumbled as she leaned back against a wall. Edited at August 13, 2022 01:53 PM by Belle

Lizzie happily skipped over and opened the door for Anya and then followed her to the room. She looked around and shook her head slowly. "Not if I'm here with him when he wakes up," she murmured. "and only because it'll be dark and he'll be confused. But it's big enough he won't get claustrophobic, I would think." She smiled over at Anya thankfully. "I don't know what we would have done without you," she chirped. "I can't thank you enough for wveryoyouve done. You didn't have to do any of it." She walked over to where sage was laying down, pulling a chair over next to the bed and sitting down on it. She was exhausted...all the running around worrying about Sage had exhausted her both physically and emotionally. "You should leave with enough time to change clothes," she pointed out. "I don't know how long that would take you." It was about two thirty in the morning by now, and Lizzie didn't know if Anya would want to stay longer or go get ready.. she had mentioned that she had a big party or something that day.

Anya gave a soft smile, "I don't think I would have managed to do anything if you hadn't shown up." She shrugged slightly, "You're smart enough to have figured something out eventually." Anya murmured as she looked towards Sage, biting on the inside of her lip slightly. She wondered if he would be upset for bringing him to the castle... he had expressed his dislike for the higher ups, so she doubted that he would be overly impressed that he was a building full of the most entitled people there are. Anya took a soft breath before giving a nod. She did need to get cleaned up, and while she was reluctant to go, she figured that she could check up on them before this ball. She gave a small, slightly forced chuckle, "Yeah, I should probably go. I'll bring you guys something to eat later, and I'll drop in later before this ball starts." The girl noted quietly as she started towards the door. Edited at August 13, 2022 03:13 PM by Belle

Lizzie nodded and smiled, waving to Anya as she started to leave. "Well thanks anyway," she giggled. "I'll see you later I suppose. The doctor said sage would be up in a few hours, so he may be up then too." She looked down at her brother, hoping he would wake up. But then again, the doctor had also said he would be in horrendous pain, and she didn't want him to be hurting either. And how soon should she make him get up so he wouldn't sieze up? Was there such a thing as too early? Sage was most likely going to complain about sitting around doing nothing...she knew he would feel useless when he's sitting here while he should be working. He needed to rest though. She just hoped she could take care of him...his stubbornness could make things difficult.

Anya smiled and gave a slight wave before vanishing off into the corridors. She was sure that as long as Sage had someone watching over him that he'd be fine, and although his sister was young, she seemed like she was more than capable of looking after the boy. The girl glanced down at herself as she reached her room... it looked like she had murdured someone. She had barely held Sage for more than ten minutes, and it looked as though she had half his blood on her. Really, how could she explain the state of her clothes to anyone? She was better off just throwing them out than trying to have them cleaned. There was a few hours until she actually had to be getting ready, but it would be nice just to have a while to clean herself up. The girl went through her wardrobe, picking out something slightly more comfortable to change into before flopping onto her bed as she got to relax a little. Anya had been a little more worried about Sage than she had maybe let on, so the fact that he would be on the road to recovery was a little weight off her shoulders. Though, the sooner he was better, the sooner the two would be out of the castle, the less chance there would be for them to get caught... whatever would happen to them if they were caught hiding out in the castle, was likely to be much worse than what they would face on the streets.

Lizzie waited until Anya left before crawling into the bed beside her brother, and curling against his uninjured side. She was worried about a lot of things, but right then she was tired and just wanted to sleep, close to Sage. She eventually fell asleep, and when sage woke up a few hours later, he was confused and his head pounded but Lizzie was right next to him so he wrapped an arm around her gently and closed his eyes again. Sleep would take at least some of the pain away, and if Lizzie was asleep he may as well go back to sleep while he could. If he could...he could barely breathe without wincing as of right then. He was glad for the dark, though, he knew any light would have killed his head. He couldn't sleep, so he lay with his eyes closed, trying to figure where they were and how they had gotten there. He had been fixed up, which meant he had been to a doctor's...maybe Anya had found him or Lizzie and helped out. He hoped she didn't pay much for this, she had helped them so much already and he didn't want her to go spending all her money on them. Edited at August 13, 2022 04:49 PM by NightClan

Anya pondered on the last few hours for a while, eventually figuring that the doctor would want some kind of payment for his silence. She wouldn't mind paying him, not if it meant keeping both Sage and Lizzie out of harms way. Right now, she had had do everything in her power to keep the two from being found... Anya would do all she could, at least, and if that meant paying off some doctor, so be it. After a few hours passed, she decided to get herself ready, so that there would be some time spare to go check on the two siblings. She swapped gowns, and had someone sort her hair out to match... hermother had her wear some tiara looking deal, with dim looking emeralds embedded in gold. None of it was exactly to her taste, but as long as she caught the eye of their guests, that was all that mattered. She took a glance at the clock once she was done... there was about an hour until she had to be in the main hall, so there was more than enough time to check up on Sage and Lizzie. She wandered back out quietly, picking up a small jug of water along with a two cups before continuing along to the servants quarters. She was fairly lucky not to see anyone along the way. The girl reached their door and gave it a soft knock, "It's Anya," she murmured quietly.

Sage opened his eyes and smiled slightly. "Come on in," he called over quietly. "Lizzie's asleep though so be kinda quiet." Lizzie was a deep sleeper so he wasn't too concerned, but talking took quite a bit of effort, so he couldn't be much louder even if he wanted to. Besides, breathing hurt, well technically everything hurt, but taking a deep breath to talk required a bit of a teeth clenching action. He didn't really care, he could deal with the pain. Well, more or less. He would tell the girls he was fine, they had obviously been worried enough already. And he wasn't dying, so he'd be fine. Although he had to work, and that might kill him if he hurt his lung any more. He could feel where the end of his rib had hit his lung, and while the doctor or whoever had stitched him up, stitches could come out. But he ignored that for now.
